"The D of A was following the Lebor Gabala Erenn etc and was alluding to the Israelites in order to draw a parallel to them, not to suggest that the Scots were Israelites. Robert the Bruce was referring to the Milesians and the notion that the Scots - as opposed to the Picts or British - had come from Scythia via Spain."

----Excellent catch.. to be honest I have only recently become interested in my own families history, and by the looks of it, you are correct. Interesting to see "Pillars of Hercules" in a such an important historical piece though, isn't it? I was very surprised to see this.

Ok SOME of my research comes from the works of Sitchin,

All of your work comes from Sitchin and other non qualified pseudo authors

I am specifically asking you to post a picture of an Annunaki from a Sumerian source, as you are claiming to know all about them that shouldn't be difficult for you

I know you don't actually know anything at all about the Sumerian civilisation, so I am only asking you to do this one simple thing.. I've asked you three times now.

It was a very grand statement, trying to show the strength and will of the Scots, and how they would remove the King if they chose. I love how you called it the Declaration of Independence since it is said to be the template for the American one.
Hope you enjoy finding out about your family's history, there's lots to explore!

OK no. SOME of my research comes from Sitchin. Some of it comes the Holy Bible. Some of it comes from Google Earth. Some of it comes from Brien Foerster. SOME of it even comes from Neil Degrasse. (OK more from Neil, less from the Bible, I'll admit)
Nevertheless. I can't show you a picture of a Sumerian depiction of the Annunaki gods....
Why you ask, pouting?

Because the Middle East was blown to bits in a nuclear holocaust.
Because there are rules in Islam that say don't draw the creator.
Because Aristocratic Romans got to the bible before I could.
Because paper disintegrates.
Because tablets break.
Because earthquakes happen.
Because the library in Alexandria burnt down.
Because the Catholic Church has been in charge for the last 1000 years.
Because wars are preventing me from physically flying over to Iraq right now and finding one for you.
Because even if I did show you some of the thousands of images we DO have from Sumer, this isn't what you are asking for anyway. You are looking for holes in the argument when there are none, looking to exploit any weaknesses, and a picture is all you can cling to? Must be a good reason for this, I'm sure. So what is this reason Marduk? Take your pick.

take note to how many of these newly discovered planets in other solar systems are large and covered with water. it's interesting how the Sumerians called the early Earth a "watery giant".

check out google earth and look at the pacific ocean. now picture a large rocky/volcanic planet grazing a watery giant planet coming up from the southern hemisphere. notice the folded back ocean floor around the western pacific rim. NE Australia and Indonesia look like exit wounds.

and if we had followed Tesla we would be flying around the solar system like the Jetsons by now

it really does ALL fall into place when you start seeing it with that perspective. forget some of the tiny details, people need to start wrapping their heads around it because fundamentally it's true and that means all kinds of things are different now yet we're still blindly following the herd. maybe it's too hard for some people and it will take a few more generations until people can accept it.

clearly as you are incapable of posting a picture of the Annunaki, then you don't know the first thing about them.
There are hundreds of pictures available, but you aren't aware of any of them.
So this isn't research here, its unqualified personal opinion
and that isn't worth anything.

The fact that you claimed that there aren't any pictures

Because paper disintegrates.

Really does tell anyone who knows the first thing about history that your thread is completely worthless and devoid of any intellectual content.

So here's the first example that shows how utterly clueless your theory is

1. Riddles of the Sphinx
The answers to the mysteries of the Sphinx are as follows: the Sphinx faces east. Towards Leo, a constellation that we think looks like a lion. This tells us the when, or the time of the monument’s construction, as the Sphinx was directly lined with Leo around 10,500 B.C. or just after the last Ice Age. Rain water erosion confirms this age.

The Egyptians didn't have a zodiac, the Greeks gave it to them in the Hellenic period (323 BC ), when Leo was represented by a Giant Dog

so to prove a connection, you first have to prove that time travel was involved, so that the ancient builders could travel forwards in time to see Leo as a lion and then travel back to make that connection.

Then consider, that Leo, being a constellation, doesn't rise due east in any significance more than any other constellation,

and finally, your claim that water erosion proves the Sphinx antiquity is nonsense. the erosion on the sphinx is caused by groundwater percolation and wind erosion

Marduk look- I understand this all must be difficult for you to comprehend. I've tried my best using words, but your'e more of a picture book guy, I'm finally realizing. I'm putting together a video of Sitchin's work for you, so that maybe you can better understand. It will still be a book--- I know. Sucks. But I'll do all the reading for you, don't worry. Alright so we're probably going to need to start with his Enuma Elish translation before we star- And it's done! youtu.be...

I have been studying the Sumerian culture for more than a three decades, you appear to have been studying Sitchin for about ten minutes. I can read Sumerian, you apparently are having trouble with English

You know nothing, the fact that you are attempting to ridicule my attempts to ask you for credible sources will tell anyone reading this thread all they want to know.

Didn't you notice, your thread has been moved from the ancient civilisation forum to this, the grey area, which is reserved specifically for nonsense...

You have an awful memory, I have watched your video twice already, the first time in your previous thread which was deleted by the mod team and the second time when you posted it to me in my welcome thread two weeks ago
Its made up nonsense.

Did you know for instance, that your claim (Sitchins claim) that Tiamat is a planet is completely debunked by the fact that the pictures from the period show Tiamat as a sea dragon
upload.wikimedia.org...
In fact the cuneiform that spells out Tiamat, actually contains a determinative which identifies the animal as a sea creature
psd.museum.upenn.edu...
The symbol in the middle that looks like a fish

and that the Babylonians (Mesopotamia's expert astronomers) created the Mul Apin in 600BCE
en.wikipedia.org...
which contained everything they knew about the universe, and in which the only planets referenced are Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn. Which are the planets you can see with the naked eye.
The planet of the crossing appears in it and is identified as Jupiter, something else Sitchin didn't tell you, the word nēberu didn't exist in the Sumerian period
psd.museum.upenn.edu...
As you can see, its first attested in 2500bce (Akkadian) and the word nēberu isn't a noun, which it would have to be if it was the name for a planet, its actually the Akkadian word that means "crossing", so you saying "Nibiru, the planet of the crossing", is actually you saying "Crossing the planet of the crossing", which is nonsense in any language

I ask "did you know" knowing full well that you don't, because Sitchin wasn't in the habit of writing about things that showed his gullible readers that he was writing fiction.

I don't have a bad memory. I said from the beginning I made the video for you. Don't see me posting it on anyone's welcome page, now do you?

Here's something I caught, made no sense until now..

"clearly as you are incapable of posting a picture of the Annunaki, then you don't know the first thing about them.
There are hundreds of pictures available, but you aren't aware of any of them." -Marduk

waaaaaaaaiiiiittt a second... Did your Trollness just expose his own ruse?
The problem is, and this is guaranteed, when a legitimate post is made (and let's not kid ourselves- this is a Conspiracy Website), it is very often met with a sort of.... weird energy. Not a, "haha ridiculous" vibe but more of a "search and destroy" kinda vibe almost to the point where I feel like I just know how much GE is paying you. England Electric... whatever- well you know what I mean.

To quote the great James Edwards "Boy, Captain America over here! "Best of the best of the best, sir!" "With honors." Yeah, he's just really excited and he has no clue why we're here."

Now your lies are exposed, you posted your video and then when I posted seven minutes later you claimed

The video is longer than 10 min

So clearly you were claiming that I didn't have time to watch it, so pretending it was posted for me to watch in this thread shows that you weren't aware that I had already watched it twice until I mentioned it.

So instead of attempting a reply to the numerous evidences I have posted, you are just going to ignore it and instead accuse me of being a shill, dry that out and you can fertilise your lawn with it. That's a very poor response and it suggests that you have no answer to the facts that have destroyed your entire hypothesis.
This maybe a conspiracy website but its motto is deny ignorance...
And you haven't made a legitimate post yet, your ignorance and inability to understand the posting rules is why your post has been moved to "the grey area"...

please continue to ignore the facts, doing so has already turned you from someone with an idea into a laughing stock

I could care less where the post has been placed, nor do I care if you had anything to do with it. In terms of volume, my arguments and connections beat yours, I'm not going to look for pictures you already have. You haven't sufficiently explained laser guided tunnels and I've only mentioned this in nearly every post I've made. In terms of offering solutions to the riddle of the Sphinx, you have none, I tried at least. In terms of arguing with style, I concede, you have that cool avatar. It is strange to think that according to Sitchin, 12500 years ago, somebody named Marduk, your namesake, was extremely jealous that the Sphinx was not made in his image, the King of Earth at the time, but instead it was the architect Ningizhidda. This jealously would be apparent in the later Pyramid Wars, which ultimately ended with the Pyramids' dismantlement. Kind of a cool parallel... I thought.

Sitchin wrote fiction. If you can't accept that as a truth, that's fine, but don't try to claim that because you wrote something it must be true, you haven't offered any credible support to your claims at all.
So this isn't a hypothesis so much as it is a rant
You should probably read this
en.wikipedia.org...
then when you've done that you should read all the texts on this site
etcsl.orinst.ox.ac.uk...
which contains valid translations of Mesopotamian texts by people qualified to make them
Sitchin wasn't a linguist, he had no training in that area, what he was in fact was a qualified economist and journalist. Or in other words, he was someone who could judge a market and then write crap that would sell in it. Like how when he first started writing about the Annunaki landings in the 1970s they were splashing down in the Persian gulf in space pods, then in the 1980s he suddenly discovered they were using space shuttles.

What I'm saying here, is that Sitchin made up all of his translations and combined them with concepts completely unknown to the culture
This page from the electronic Pennsylvanian Sumerian dictionary could have been written for you
psd.museum.upenn.edu...

OK I've got The Lost Realms by Sitchin here, in my hand. Alright now I'm turning it and looking at the spine. I'm looking for --- wait a minute. I see it. Yup, top of the spine... white font. NONFICTION. ohhhh crap. Alright. OK. a typo. I'm sure. Calm down --- I'm on the phone with Harper to let them know---- OK They say it's NOT a typo and that apparently ALL of the books say this. OK... alright... just breathe. OK. SOMEBODY is lying to me. Alright I'm calling the Department of Authority for American Truth to request an inquiry. I'm going to get to the botto-- Great-- they put me on hold........There's gotta be an explanatio----- Alright the representative I spoke with said "Well Marduk's wrong. If it's on the cover it must be true." And hung up.

So there you have it.

Yup, there we have it, this thread is a train wreck and rather than support your claims you're off into delusional rhetoric. Sitchin wrote fiction and claimed it was non fiction so that gullible people like you would believe it. Its like a movie claiming "based on a true story" when it isn't.
You should go read that Mark Twain meme again. Its about you.

Are you going to address any of the evidence I posted, or do you need a few more years to get to a position where you can understand it...

Yes, it really was Sitchin making fictional claims. So the book itself need not be labeled "fiction."

But his stupid claims are the worst kind of fiction.
