Even the young are SEEING it

I was just sitting down to luch with the newspaper when I saw this article and thought of TC and Leveller.

There is a record 2 million people in prison in the US. (702 prisoners per 10,000 population)
It is even more than Russia! (665)
It has proportionaly 3X more prisioners than Iran,
4X more than Polland
5X more than Tanzania (here is your african country Leveller)
7X more than Germany

1 in every 8 black men in their 20's and early 30's are in prison
41% of black high school dropouts are in prison

Well, drug users should be let out if thier only crime was getting high, and nothing else. If they were selling pot, like a small time dealer, they should also be let out.

other than that tho, pretty much 90% of inmates should be locked up. regardless of race, if they are screwing off and being degenrates, they deserve a little quiet time in jail.

Im all for harsh and severe punishment for criminals. I only want to revise what is considered criminal. many criminals are guilty of little more than doing socally unacceptable or morally questionable things, but so long as its not a direct assault or theft of a person and thier property, or hasnt caused harm to another person, than hookers and dopeheads shouldnt rot behind bars.
