I've never seen an overlay ad that didn't have an [X] to close it... or that didn't disappear when clicking outside the boundaries of the ad.

I believe you SO, Truly .

Respectfully though , this did happen to me often . I'll do my best to provide evidence of my claim for the future. If it happens again of course.

If I had to guess what happen exactly i would say that the [X] was most likely on the Ad. However the Ad was to large and half of it was off screen , the part that happen to be off was the part with the X . if that makes sens . I am not to computer savvy ...so

Hope that helps .

i am having a problem with ads popping up directly in the the center of the screen, making it impossible to read any posts.
there is no x-ing them out, when i click on them they take me to some Yahoo site.
i have not found a way to turn them off..any help would be great!!

I never had any difficulty with banner ads on ATS until just now. All of a sudden while browsing the forums my pc started to lag terribly. I exited and did the usual cache cleaning, etc, and tried again. I couldn't even load a page. I rebooted and came back to find my screen almost completely covered with giant banner ads with no "x" to remove them.

My pc settings didn't spontaneously change in the middle of browsing the forums. Was this on your end ATS? Should I expect this from now on or is something wrong? Any help would be appreciated.

BTW, the drain on my pc was immense. I have a pretty decent system and never run into problems like that.
