I use to be able to read graphs until they started moving all the time NOAA 1999 version certainly looks different than NOAA 2012 version

At this stage I wonder does it matter?

Look at these two long term Turn of the 20th century station examples, the top one is considered well sited in California, ( I think)
The lower one is in Marysville...somewhere, and poorly sited, but also the area has been added to with clutter over the years. Both pictures seem to be relatively new. I would be interested in your thoughts.
I would be interested too about the, 'warmer than the dustbowl' is that most recent?

See this is funny.

The OP was basically just about the Climate being very hot recently and getting hotter perhaps. Nothing really about man's involvment, not directly.

And yet people deny this? I live in Vegas and have been here off and on for almost 20 years. It's definitely hotter here now, more miserable and getting worse. Sure, that's just anecdotal and just from one city on earth, but come on....let's not throw snowballs in winter and tell each other it's not hotter. It really is. At least we can agree on this? No?

Oh that's right, all scientists are wrong, and greedy money grabbers in the pocket of Al Gore. And yet you'll believe Scientists when they tell you about Evolution, or Physics or tell you that NASA sent men to the moon, yet you won't listen to them about the Climate...just this one thing...why?

Wait, did NOAA say that AGW is going to cause another hottest year, or that this might be another hottest year?

No but it's not just the NOAA. The National Weather service has already stated that this June 2015 was the hottest June on Record, since 1937 when they started tracking Data here.

The scam is claiming Humanity is the primary cause and they can change the climate with their carbon taxation, And by manipulating the system, Better to control the polluters like we have here somewhat...accept for the EPA.
Other than that, in about 2 or 3 months WARM will be sorely missed.

No he hasn't, I was talking to God the other day, and he told me this,

"Urban and regional temperature trends in southern Nevada, including the rapidly growing Las Vegas metropolitan area, were analyzed over two periods, 1940–2009 and 1977–2009. The data show that minimum temperatures in Las Vegas increased by more than 4°C above the regional trend since 1940 and by approximately 3°C more than the regional average since 1977, which demonstrates that urbanization has significantly altered the nighttime climate of the city and that the changes were most pronounced in the last 30 years. In contrast, regional minimum temperature increases were not widespread and generally limited to spring and summer with a regional annual average minimum temperature increase of about 1°C since 1940 and 0.6°C since 1977. Notably, there is little evidence of winter temperature moderation throughout rural southern Nevada in either time period investigated. The analysis also suggests maximum temperature trends in Las Vegas have been moderated by urbanization, as daytime temperatures across southern Nevada increased by approximately 1°C in the last 30 years, but no increase was observed within the city suggesting that Las Vegas has developed a moderate daytime urban cool island. While no absolute change in Las Vegas dewpoint temperatures was found, a relative increase of up to 3°C was observed when the city was compared to a rural control station. The relative increase in urban dewpoint temperature is significantly correlated to the daytime urban cooling trend, minimum temperature increase, and the significant reduction in diurnal temperature range, suggesting that increased latent heat flux in Las Vegas may be a primary cause of observed urban climate changes." Then he gave me a slap, and his business card.

If you haven't noticed, there's a very vocal right-wing contingent here who are positive that global warming is a hoax invented by Al Gore

Why does it always have to be right-wing ? I have plenty of friends from all persuasions that believe the statement above.Of course they are for the most part intelligent well-read people. I call it rather being scientifically minded.

You call believing the lie that Al Gore invented Global Warming to increases taxes being "scientifically minded"? I call that being willfully ignorant since there is plenty of documentation saying that Climate Change has not only been talked about LONG before Al Gore said anything about it in scientific communities, but that is undoubtedly a real thing.

Thats off-topic about Gore. But true . That is the biggest part of the MMGW deal today. "A Convenient Lie (or how to make billions w/o lifting a finger)
Sad , but true

And how does that apply to the ocean, the glaciers, the satellites and balloons?

The siting of stationary weather stations and urban heat effects have been known for decades. These and many other calibration problems are taken into account by the professionals. And when they do that the hysterical denialists claim that the data is being manipulated.

I can attest to the fact that winter in my region has had an uncustomary low amount of rain. We are in a El Niño cycle right now, so this might be somewhat attributable. But, the overall 'warming' is undeniable.

The increase in urban scrawl would dictate that temperature readings would increase over time from the increased heatsink of our growing concrete jungles but instead of decreasing more recent temperature readings, they have reduced the temperature readings from the past when there was less urban sprawl. If you look NYC central park temperature guage which has remained in the same environment over time except for an increase of city’s population, they have reduced recorded temperatures between mid 1950s to the mid 1990s by a massive 6 degrees to produce a massive incline in temperature in recent years where none exists in the raw data. When if anything, they should have reduced more recent readings from increased heatsink of the city! The actual raw data from the NYC central park temperature shows a decline in temperature from the 80's, no global warming at all.

Added... I believe the logic is this. Governments have been cooking economic data for decades (unemployment, inflation figures etc). Since the introduction of carbon tax they now look at temperature readings as economic data rather than scientific data because it results in increased taxation. Although a lot of scientist have complained, many fear reprisals from employment opportunities etc whereas others just jump board the gravy train.

There are lots of information about 30's severe heatwave and drought on the internet.

I know. Trying to escape, but life gets in the way...however it is getting hotter here and has over the past 20 years. unbearably hot.

Of course they had been known..to some, until some resourceful people started looking at the given instructions. You do know of course the rudiments of siting is part of NOAA's discourse, and even the UOA duplicates the correct siting in their own PDF, of which they completely ignored by sticking it in a carpark.
As for, "These and many other calibration problems are taken into account by the professionals." that comes into the 'whatever it takes category' by the balloons on the ground, who need to make adjustments to the adjustments from time to time. So, I decided to go on Snow Patrol, and talk to the Polar Bears, and when I asked why they ain't all dead yet, this guy gives me my second slap in the face to date, because he knew I had been talking to the Arctic Monkeys.

I only got away, because he wasn't sure I was a Monkey.

And also they will fix the problem by making us live in apartments and stop using air conditioning, oh and no red meat. I am not kidding, affluence in America is the cause of all the problems. Affluence in America is the egregious thing which is making the whole planet unsustainable.

"Effective execution of Agenda 21 will require a profound reorientation of all human society, unlike anything the world has ever experienced a major shift in the priorities of both governments and individuals and an unprecedented redeployment of human and financial resources. This shift will demand that a concern for the environmental consequences of every human action be integrated into individual and collective decision-making at every level."

"Current lifestyles and consumption patterns of the affluent middle class - involving high meat intake, use of fossil fuels, appliances, air-conditioning, and suburban housing - are not sustainable. A shift is necessary which will require a vast strengthening of the multilateral system, including the United Nations." - Link

So in order to fix the problem of the planet, we have to give up air conditioning and red meat, I told you I'm not kidding, this is in their own documents...plus we would have to give up our national sovereignty

"The concept of national sovereignty has been an immutable, indeed sacred, principle of international relations. It is a principle which will yield only slowly and reluctantly to the new imperatives of global environmental cooperation. It is simply not feasible for sovereignty to be exercised unilaterally by individual nation states, however powerful. The global community must be assured of environmental security." - Link

It's not just natural resources, but the finances they want redeployed, that's the term they use, which is really another word for redistribution of wealth

This is really all slick, fancy repacking of communism

Exactly, plus it makes a dog's horlicks of any kind of linear consistency, as in the Marysville graph. Even more dog's doodah

Your wishes may come truth, the weather channel was predicting colder temperatures this winter in the southeast with record snow in the north east like last year.

While the north west and south west will be warmer this winter, but with more humidity and rain, all thanks to el nino as is expected to become stronger in the coming months.

Yes linear consistency, thanks. I think some people (cough Phage) might believe that at least the result will be good for the environment. I don't share that optimism. Banks want a new bubble by trading in carbon derivatives, UN wants to be a new layer of world government. They have no real interest in the environment at all.
