Don't be Afraid

Tick ,Tock, Tick, Tock,
I hear the rhythm of the clock,
I sit upright, within my bed,
Feeling overwhelmed with dread.

Tap, tap, tap, tap
Ok..what the hell was that?
A branch against the window pane,
Just normal stuff, don't be afraid.

A sudden chill within the room,
Outside, I see it's a full moon.
The lights are flickering off and on,
A shadow appears, then it's gone.

Creaking noise upon the stairs,
But I've lived alone for years!
A haunting voice within my head,
But it is nothing, go back to bed.

Off, on, off, on..
The radio keeps playin songs,
Tuning to different frequencies,
Like someone's tryin to speak to me.

Click, click, click, click,
Ok, now I'm getting scared a bit
The TV must be on the fritz,
Why else would it be acting like this?

Settle down, It'll be ok,
No reason to be acting this way,
Nothing is gonna happen to you,
It's all norm........
