If you want to hear from candidates that care about the people and the nation, let alone the rest of the world, you'll need to watch the Democratic debates.

Considering that the greatest threats to our nation are corporate power and theocracy, Bernie Sanders is the only logical candidate.

No the poison of pure socialism is equal to the poison of pure capitalism. In fact all systems are equal. They all fall to corruption and none are really better or more secure against corruption, not one.Every form of government and economy have been tried, changed, tried again, evolved, adapted, checks and balances added ad infinitum and the result has always been the same they all become corrupt and fall. That is because the problem isn't the systems it's human beings. Humans are corrupt in general, a minority of them seek power at all cost and the majority of them are too apathetic and scared of risk to stop them.

In this day and age, looking at where the United States is now as a nation; no one can any longer truthfully argue the superiority of capitalism and the inferiority of any of the other systems. They are all equal.

And look at the country today, a broken economy, a crumbling infrastructure, politicians of BOTH PARTIES ignoring the voices, needs and wants of the citizens, while pandering to the banks and corporations.

Hell, they won't even print one dollar to fix the decaying bridges and overpasses that may very well begin collapsing left and right in a few years, but can print billions to prop up the decaying institutions of their true masters. The ones that paid for them, put them in power, make them rich both in and out of office, that have turned them into a modern day aristocracy that drinks wine and eat cakes while the peasants starve. And why would they care what happens to citizens or if they get angry, they are rich, they have estates and security forces, they will be safe even if the whole economy and country burns.

And I am sure many will say no capitalism is great and what we have is not capitalism, but corporatism or some other ism, but that is bollocks. What we have is pure capitalism. It is just capitalism that has become corrupt, rotten to the core and fallen, just like the later soviet union was pure socialism, that had become corrupt, rotten to the core and fallen. Their poison is both the same and it chokes the citizens and the nations to death the same.

The only thing I can agree with is, that no the democrats won't save us, neither will the republicans, nor Rand Paul, who if he is elected, well be vetted, bribed, paid off and controlled by the banks and corporations just like all the other candidates before him or he won't be elected.

Rand Paul isnt a logical choice in fact none of the choices presented are logical at all.

I believe humanity is searching for its moral compass.

I went into this thinking that Rand would be my guy, but honestly, his lack of performance in the debates, his stances on some key issues, and the fact that he made every female in my household a bit uneasy (he has some kind of creepy televangelist vibe) pretty much told me he's going to be unelectable.

Is that last one a solid reason? No, but in the age of the media, it's something to be considered.

Besides, he isn't his dad, and his dad's silence in all of this, is VERY telling. I was all for his dad during the last election.
