thanks for the links. from these articles studying the FFA it appears that it lights up in MRI when viewing faces. unless i'm missing some magical
component here, the Fusiform Face Area of the brain shows activity when viewing faces and when we try to anthropomorphize objects that have face-like
characteristics.
oh and that car fronts apparently look like faces.
i guess i'll read further, but at a glance i don't see anything stating that the brain is creating or assembling random objects and images into faces,
ie, what people keep saying "paredolia" is.
