Explain to me how so many people can seriously be considering Donald Trump for the Oval Office.

All he talks about is how well he is doing/leading in the polls, and how fabulous he is.

If this keeps up, I might actually start believing that Commercial Airliners are polluting our skies with toxic gasses and unknown substances intended to dumb us down.

I know one of his appeals is that "he can't be bought" (because he's so very rich,) but nevertheless he talks out of both sides of his mouth, and doesn't seem to have any significant policies. Or have I missed something?

Are people really serious with this? I keep telling myself he's not a viable candidate; this is a grand joke, and will end soon, but so far there is no sign of that.

eta: And the whole "I can't be bought" thing. Of course, if's that's true, I like that too. But I don't believe it. Donald Trump can't be bought? I mean, he's always been about money. Why should we expect that to change? Money defines him. He admits it. Always has.

The nation needs an executive with bankruptcy experience to handle the National Debt crisis.

All previous Presidents have had none like Trump's.

So, the ''national debt crisis" is the only thing he will be required to focus on Xue? Nothing else? He's a one-hit wonder?

There is no way the establishment is going to let Trump win. If he does, it was planned. My conspiracy compass leads me to believe that as long as the media is willing to give him airtime, unlike Ron Paul, he is part of the charade.

Why do people like reality TV so much? I think it boils down to the same thing. A large percentage of people rally behind nonsense and easy entertainment, and a dumbed-down and downright intolerant virus has taken over every facet of our country. It seems only natural that would bleed into the political system in a *different* yet so utterly ridiculous way that it becomes the next hit. And it's happening. A reflection of the circus that is society.

Additionally, from what I have seen and heard, and I truly wonder how genuine it is, is that people are tired of the "establishment" and the "career politicians" and want someone to "shake things up." On the other hand, MANY people seem to truly believe the crap he says (insofar as his criticisms and no hold barred approach to, well, everything). So it looks like they want things shaken up no matter who it is who does the shaking.

People want something different. But then again, people might just vote for Ronald MacDonald just because he's not a career politician and shakes things up. Idiocracy in the flesh.

It says so much about the state of our country, NOT that people keep voting for the same old political 2-party BS but that a Yosemite clown would be the voice of one party.

It's pathetic..And scary.

Well, since both the Democrats and Republicans want to take Trump out you won't see any positive stories in the media.

FYI:

www.facebook.com...

www.eventbrite.com...
All proceeds from this event go towards helping Veterans for a Strong America supporting our warriors on and off the battlefied and not to any candidate or candidate's committee.

Now, understand... He is Left on most issues. Something that Conservatives really need to know:

rare.us...

Take what Trump wrote in his book “The America We Deserve” about health care. He called for a single-payer system that is further to the left of Obamacare, and reflects a position held by self-avowed socialist presidential candidate Bernie Sanders. He also called for an “assault weapons ban” and described himself as pro-choice in the same book.

Trump has spent years courting Hillary and other Dems

www.politico.com...

Trump is not a Conservative. He appeals to conservatives on a couple of issues but his overall policies that he has previously discussed are all Progressive.

Of course it isn't.

But it certainly is one of major importance on the world wide economic scenario.

You realize all government levels in the U.S. depend heavily on bond issues (borrowing - debt).

They cover spending deficits by borrowing.

Yeah I don't get it either Lady, He is just further cementing America as a laughing stock

I've said it before, Americans appear to want to be entertained 24 x 7, a vote for the Don is a vote to be entertained not a vote to be governed.

I will put up a real housewife of LA as the next viable candidate that matches his experience.

I suspect, and it's only a suspicion, that the three areas Trump is resonating in "trumps" his obvious bad manners.

First is his extremely vocal attacks against both parties "nod, nod, wink, wink" on immigration. Apparently, over 2/3s of Americans have a real problem with the illegal immigration issue that both parties are 'ignoring' (poll-wise)

Second is his breaking of the P.C. mentality that has infected all levels of this nation. I believe most people, given their choice would rather say what they think without all the B.S. everyone is forced to 'agree with'.

Third is he taps into the anger that's out there that wants real change in Washington. The fact that he pisses off the GOP Establishment as much as the left resonates hugely.

I suspect they like what he says rather than think he'd make a good President....

I read somewhere that its a "collective middle finger to the establishment".

I don't think so.. it's nothing that rebellious or savvy. If it were so, I'd understand this a little better. I respect the "un-pc" thing to a degree, but that's no reason to elect a President.

Are people not concerned about how he will manage foreign affairs? -- the world is in chaos now. We are quite possibly on the precipice of a World War, it could happen any day. Trump as commander in chief doesn't scare people?

Desperate people cast desperate votes, I guess. But I see no wisdom whatsoever in supporting Trump.

Yes. The damage is done even at this stage. It will be in the history books of how we all went off the deep end in 2015, and 2016 if he lasts that long.

(He's on TV now in Texas screaming "We are Killin' It", repeatedly. Self aggrandizement. It's all he knows. And people are eating it up.)

well if you have not figured out American, politics and it's government is broken, Donald Trump for dummies is for you...

Considering he has a fighting chance for POTUS, should be a slap in the face for those still not awake yet...

America's collapse will be in the next 8 years for sure...

That's why it's so frightening. I have been saying that for a while now.

Based upon his loose-lipness and ability to say whatever without restraint, our foreign relations would likely be a disaster. How can you get anything done and BUILD any relationships with nations and SOLVE problems when you shoot off at the mouth and likely offend people at every turn?

Would trump even *try* to work with anyone, or just pull a "my way or the highway" Bush on steroids, burning down his whole neighborhood just to get his way (which he is used to getting, but won't because the president is not a dictatorship)?

But people can't see this, they can't see past their own ignorance, bigotry, and selfishness.

This is the part that shocks me, that people can't digest. This is his character. This is who he is. It won't change.

Honestly? The only thing that's going to repair our financial woes is to raise taxes, and nobody wants to hear that.
