It always hurts to lose a member that so many held in such high regard. A massive loss for the ATS community, but an even bigger one for those closest to him in real life.

Condolences to his family and friends.

God bless his family, especially his child, and all the beautiful souls on ATS who were beyond simply good friends to him. But bless those good friends and this community as well, that we all might better appreciate each other and be our best selves.

I've been staring at this screen for what seems ages.
What can I say ??
How can typing words even come close to expressing how I feel ??

Oh billy, Oh man, you loved me till the end.
You said goodbye.
You told me how much I meant to you.
Strange love my sweet, but maybe soulmate love is strange.

You knew this would happen, you knew that one day I would post this track. You knew.

Our song Billy.....

Till we meet again.....I WILL find you, I promise.
Wait for me.

I haven't logged in for a long time, but been in the shadows. Seeing this thread, I knew I had to. This just feels so wrong. This amazing young man who was completely brilliant beyond his years has left us and it feels like such an injustice. The good ones truly do leave us way too early. But undoubtedly he left an impression here and I'm sure in the real world that will never be forgotten. My deepest condolences to his family and dearest friends.

What can I say that hasn't been said?
RA was a great member of, and contributor to ATS.
This is very very sad news.

I will raise a glass in his name tonight.

See you later Billy.

Yes, definitely.

Often times what people need is space to grieve and time to sort out a way forward. It's an act of kindness to give it to them.

Maybe it's enough right now that this thread serve as a gathering place for sweet memories and sad condolences.

Man that is absolutely awful.... he was such a great lad.
His JFK threads were awesome, even did a Hillsborough one (IIRC) and was always a really nice guy.
Shared a few chats and U2Us over the years with him and he was always a top poster, member and human being.

He will be sorely missed both on ATS and, in his real life by friends and family.

RIP mate.

As someone already said, the bad side of having ATS as an extended family is when some of our "family" members disappears.

My condolences to the family and friends.

Billy will be missed.

I remember when we asked Billy to join the staff, he happily agreed to help us out, that's the kind of person he was. When he decided he needed to focus on his studies and his other projects he made sure we knew and was genuinely concerned about not leaving us "in the lurch" with inadequate coverage, that's the kind of guy he was, he cared.

RIP Billy, it is my hope that you and William One Sac may finally meet.

I haven't spoken to Billy since late 2013, I sensed that he was going through some changes and needed some time away to do so.

I'm very sorry to hear about these turn of events.

I will always remember him for his intelligence, his work ethic and his integrity.

Not to mention the time I got stuck up a mountain and he had to help me back down, haha.

Rest in peace Billy.
