Lol, stupid thread anyway, who cares what other members look like really?
Looks have nothing to do with discussion, but I suppose if folk want ATS to end up like facebook then threads such as this are the natural progression, and jealousy/image issues will become the norm.

ATS has been trending towards a social media site for a couple of years or so. I mean when you have got more LGBTs threads than any other topic on a conspiracy site?! a WTF is in order.

Lol, I've never been here to make friends, and I'm quite happy to be disliked by a lot of folk here to be honest.
I joined for interesting and robust discussion, not a mutual appreciation love-in which is what some threads become on ATS.

What someone looks like is irrelevant to discussion, but if it floats a boat then good luck to all concerned.
I assume some will think "Why are you posting in this thread then and not just ignoring it?" and to those I would say because I find some mild amusement doing so.

Same with "Man shoots dog" threads or whatever, I absolutely cringe when the same members post "Oh I cried tears when I read that" then get a load of stars just for sharing an opinion about an action which most reasonable people think is not cool.
I ignore such threads, although my star count would probably be higher if I got involved and posted stuff like "My heart aches for that poor dog and my tears left a puddle on the floor" lol
Lame, ATS really is becoming like facebook, and members will be pleased to know that when the transition is complete I shall do one and bow out for good.

...the lamest one is "I was nearly sick reading that!", no you weren't, that is just exaggerated BS, but hey, it gets stars from similar minded facebookesque style members.

I had a long standing acct that I retired out once I noticed the transition. Used to participate in lengthy discussions on a variety of topics. Since then I now realize this place has forever changed, and don't bother to put in the same efforts.

It is what it is.
