In order to fund some of these exotic projects and secret space programs -- you'd need to have funding sources from all over, hidden in plain sight and embedded into the actual economy.

It can't all come from the illicit drug trade, as that only makes up about 1% of the world's trade. So leasing technologies and patents for technology to companies like Samsung, Apple, Microsoft comes into play.

Ever notice these amazing start ups the appear with incredible technologies? These soon get snapped up and bought out by larger tech companies. Hm....
