I believe the weather channel pointed out that the closes to the Islands will bring some rain and waves to the coast, but will not impact the Islands directly.

The other two, one is too far away already and heading to Japan, the other one is to be moving north along the coast of California bringing needed rain.

Hopefully the trajectory of the hurricanes will not change, I know Hawaiian Island already have enough rain.

BTW my husband and me were station in Oahu back in the 80s in Kaneohe bay, my son was born in the naval "Pink Elephant" that duty station was the best we ever had.

As for weather, where we are (middle America), it has been WAY cooler than usual for August, not anything close to usual, and definitely not hotter. Super nice, actually, more like late September weather. We have seen low 50's at night, even. That was mid-month! I love it.

I notice that too, even mix snow sometime in the summer in the northern states, very dry in the northern west, then let not forget the record snow early in the year, still it was hot as the weather channel keep pushing their now records for everything hot, we here in the south have what we always have steamy wet weather.

Actually it was the US along with the UN the ones that started the global warming scam in order to create another bubble in the market in the name of "tax credits" for CO2, yes the earth is going what has done for millennia, going through a cycle of warming and later cooling, but this time around somebody realized that it could be money to be made scaring people away.

Be careful on how you hear the wording been used lately as Recorded, is a difference between recorded history and records keeping, one is older than the other one, those behind the global warming scam are the ones pushing records disregarding earth history.

This is quite interesting, but keep in mind that "making history" only means that this is the first time that it's been seen from satellite imagery, and that has only existed basically since the 70s.

I wouldn't worry too much about this being an indicator of much in regards to the real history of weather in the Pacific Ocean.

Before satellite imagery existed, if one of these didn't effect a ship that survived or didn't make landfall, it would have been unnoticed and presumed not to exist.

I'd prepare a emergency kit if you don't have one already.

Cyclonic and anti cyclonic storms are predictable in how they form, but their behavior is anything but predictable.They might follow the warmer currents that run parallel to the coastline or they might 'lock on' to estuaries that they can feed off.

Either way its best to heed the warnings-either hunker down or relocate to the nearest shelter, and if you live on the coast the latter is the best.

The weather patterns are really changing around the world , we had supercell warnings this year I've never heard those warnings before in my whole life living here.

Maui here; Iki Iki are the words to describe the what's happening here now. Hot and humid for those of you that don't speak Pigeon. Earlier last week I went out and bought plywood to board up the windows because we've pushed our luck this season and one of these monsters is going to catch us being complacent. Not this guy, food-check, water- check, plywood- check. Bring it....

Interestingly all those issues sounds great and are been used to pursue the global warming or clima change agenda main goal, but if you take each issue and search on what has been going on to enforce them you see that each particular issue has been pursue for many years, but the entire world is a complex thing with govenrments inclusing the US that are run by corporate interest.

Energy independent is not something that is going to happen in our life time when the world is run by oil and oil interest, even our dollar is linked to oil.

Then, when President Obama came to be president he paid back those that supported him with millions on green energy initiatives, we all remember the scandals that follow most if not all the companies that took the money and claim bankruptcy later on.

The rainforest debacle, actually the only rainforest the US have that Is actually a rain forest is in the Island territory of Puerto Rico, I am from that Island and yes is been preserved very well, but when you look at South American rainforest the growing population, the exploitation for profits of the land is something that is a local government issue, they are not going to stop making money out of their land, also the big demand of more affluent countries like the US for special woods is still growing, even if some type of woods are banned.

Sustainability, it has many meanings but if we are talking about Food supplies, well our government thinks that giving our food supplies to corporations like monspanto to genetically modified it for control of it and not for keeping sustainability is a good think I guess we are living in a fools paradise.

Green jobs, our economy is run by corporate interest, the only green jobs we are going see is those that produce the green color money we have, so far the only green jobs that were invested with tax dollars became the first scandal of Obamas presidential first term.

Livable cities, I agree that big cities needs to find a way in which people should use only mass transportation to reduce production, but until automobiles are banned from big cities this is an issue that in a nation like ours that is run by corporate interest I wounded when this will ever happen.

Renewables, again US is run by oil.

Clean Water and Air, we all want that, but once again the biggest polluters are the corporate entities that runs our economy they rather create a carbon copy credit, scam to sell their rights to pollute to emerging countries where they have invested in to create a new bubble to profit from and this will do no a darn thing to help the environment but their pockets.

Healthy children, We all want our children to grow up healthy, so keep them away from monspanto food, big pharma unnecessary vaccinations and away from government mandates to what is healthy or not, we are the most vaccinated country in the world and our children are not healthiest than those countries that are not using their children like pin cushions from birth.

And the first satellite to keep track of hurracanes was up and running in the 60s, so now they are calling the cabo verde Islands been hit by the first hurricane in recorded history when the Islands has been hit before, the largest recorded history was in the late 1800s.

But most people can only think in their life span history.
