Well i saw this over at liveleak and it is pretty disgusting, it shows chickens at one of mcdonalds suppliers being pretty much tortured.

I am an animal lover, but at the same time realize we need to eat, and chickens are on the menu. But just because they are chickens doesnt mean they dont deserve the respect of any animal, and especially animals that provide us the nutrition we need to survive.

Watching the video brings up all kinds of emotions, but mostly it just pisses me off. I am going to ban Tyson foods and Mcdonalds,

sry if this in the wrong forum.

This country eats alot of McNuggets, alot of wings, alot of KFC, etc.

Alot.

The suppliers dont have time to sing them a lullaby and gracefully put them to death.

No, it is a madhouse trying to keep up with the snarfing masses.

No different for cows, fish, and think of the poor vegetables.

That's capitalism. Have to make that dollar off of the chicken nugget made from pre-tortured pink slime in the most efficient way possible.

To regulate the industry or say that these animals must be killed in a quicker, more "humane" manner is socialist commie talk.

Only commie pinkos care about animals that are better served with gravy, than a bit of respect.

How is beating chickens with a rod one by one saving McDonald's any money?

Seems pretty inefficient to me.

All animals do.

There is a responsibility that comes with being on the top of the food chain.

Commercial farming is often disgusting in its cruel practices.
I am by no means a vegetarian, but I like to know that meat that I eat has been treated with respect.
I haven't eaten fast food in over 20 years.
I raise my own chickens. I have friends who are cattle ranchers and treat their animals right. I hunt deer, wild hogs, and various other critters of the woods.
I very rarely buy meat from a grocery store or eat meat in restaurants.
It may be my imagination, but I don't like the sense that an animal I'm eating has suffered.

in most countries, animals people feed on are always respected in some form or manner, even the killing process is ritualistic . just not this country.

People say that hunting is so wrong. At least with a deer it's the one shot, if a hunter knows what he's doing; not the brutal torture in the video.

Chickens are not humans, the only issue here is if we the consumers are getting tainted low quality meat.

I dont mean to be callouse about this subject. But unfortunatly feeding the hungry masses sitting in the drive through is a very large business.

Hunting is a different story yes. Especially if done with precision.

But think about this. If hunting were to feed the masses, we would be out of deer and elk and moose in year one completely.

Feeding the humans takes massive animal manufacturing. And the have to high speed the processing of these animals. Otherwise your six pack of nuggets would be ten bucks or more.

When I raise a cow, it wanders around aimlessly munching on grasses for a couple of years. When I call the outfit to come out and kill it, they drop the beast and have it carved up before the meat stops quivering. Then it hangs and cures for a couple of weeks before being butchered and bundled. It lasts my family about a year.

One family.

Now, think about all the steaks and cuts sold in America every single day. Then add all the burger shops and steak houses added. Basically, farmers and butchers just dont have time to mess around. They get the product out asap and then do it again. Everyday.

The pigs, fish, and chicken are no different. It has to be done.

Tyson kills many millions of chicken a day around America. That is what they do.

It is a sad fact you might not want to think about when you are sitting at the dinner table.

Tyson has had that reputation for being inhumane. They need to be exposed to more consumers. Bad for McDonald's that according to news as of late that it's not very popular with the large Millennial generation.

I implore any meat eaters, if possible, to opt out of factory farmed meat. Know what you're eating. An unhealthy animal, kept in unhealthy conditions from abuse and disease to inhumane slaughter is no good for anyone to eat.

Are you saying cruelty is not an issue?

Really hoping I misunderstood your post.

If people really knew how their livestock was handled and butchered, most would become vegetarians.

I used to work fo ra chicken plant. we shocked our chickens to stun them then cut their heads off immediatly. this jackhole in this video was prolly just taking it out on these chickens cause if he did that to a person he would b e in jail. EVen my companies leadership would had been disgusted at this low life torturing the birds.

If you stunned someone and immediately cut their head off you'd be in jail as well.

Who's to say your way is any more humane that what this guy is doing?
