Judge Joe Brown Begins Jail Sentence

Dear God,

I know I haven't prayed to You in decades, but if You could please have this happen to Judge Judy, I promise to find a (real) homeless person and give them $1000.00.

And please bless Star, Goldie, and Micky, and even the cat, Buggy.

Amen

Just curious Why you would do that to Judy?

As a side note, Judge Brown believes the rifle used in the MLK case was not the one that killed Dr.King.

I don't like Judge Judy either. She is a self righteous bully. I believe that she ever faced a real threat she would pee herself.

Judge Joe is going to jail for contempt of court. Lost his temper, ran his mouth, etc.

I could not stand to watch Judge Judy. Her arrogance and rudeness were an embarrassment to every judge who ever served with integrity, decorum, and just plain good manners. Judge Judy's "court" deserved contempt.

I love Judge Judy. She is a no nonsense no BS kind of person. The only people that suffer on her show are rude people and those with a lack of personal responsibility. We need someone like her in the Whitehouse to clean up Washington and return sanity to politics.

I love Judge Joe Brown. If you read earlier versions of this story, court wasn't done very professionally and Judge Joe was, ' inciting a riot' or something by saying how he could do it better.

Personally I came to the conclusion that the Judge on duty was intimidated.

Post a link of judge Judy being vile, rude, etc.

More than likely you won't.

To the OP

Judge Joe Brown found himself on the other side of the justice system on Thursday, when he turned himself in to begin serving a five-day prison sentence stemming from a 2014 contempt of court charge.

Five days in prison?

Not even long enough to be in general population. Boo hoo.

Why Judy ? I always thought she was telling it like it was for most of the time and most people didn't want to hear it, granted the majority that I did see where the type of people that would have like two or three baby mamas and didn't seem to want to grow up so she essentially gave them a wake up slap. Brown on the other hand seemed like he had a more fatherly tone to his voice and always thought he was a nice man. I'm actually kind of surprised to see him on this side of the law and going to jail. Used to love watching his shows. Now I'm hooked on Divorce court.

He did defending a woman he morally thought he needed to. I didn't read into the case too far, but he said she was being treated unfairly by this judge.

I can't see judge judy standing up for a kid against the state- she'd probably just heckle the kids parents in the audience.
Sadly Joe is being publicly slapped for trying to use his celebrity to make the point that the system is not above humanity. And the people are laughing. We love rehabilation more than Frito Pendejo... Idiocracy wasn't prophetic, it was a slight exaggeration of a true story about a trip to Wal Mart.

I don't get it. You're laughing at him for trying to do the right thing? Did you see what he is serving a contempt of court sentence for?

I don't like court shows, they smack of a cheap, non-violent version of a Roman Colosseum... same as Maury Povich and Jerry Springer. But to laugh at a dude arrested for a good cause?

A judge is supposed to make rulings based on facts, evidence, and testimony. You don't get at the truth by shouting at plaintiffs and defendants, "Shut up! I'm talking! I interrupt you, you don't interrupt me!"

I could invariably tell how Judy was going to rule within minutes of the start of the case. Her decision was always going to be the one that would appeal to her viewing demographic. Joe Brown wasn't as bad, but he did have his moments. Of all the TV judges, I liked Wopner the best. He listened, and made fair rulings based on the evidence and the law. Even if he didn't personally like the decision, he would point out, "Well, this is the way the law reads so this is the way I have to rule."

Nowadays, I'm hooked on Perry Mason. Fiction, I know, but it does portray how a judge should behave in a courtroom. Besides, all the other judge shows are fiction, too.

I think Judge Judy and other modern court shows are just social engineering. They make people want to avoid going to court, because right or wrong, you may end up with a judge who behaves like they've been off their anti-psychotic meds for two weeks. And even if they law is on your side, you still loose if you're not politically correct.

1. Its misogynistic to think women can't speak up loud and mad, or say it like it is, some kind of whore and madonna syndrome. I always speak up loudly, like it is. sometimes colorfully!

I don't appreciate misogyny! Think everyone on earth and many cultures need massive counselling because they are extremely psychotic.

2. Not liking someone, doesnt mean you wish jail on them. I don't like my loud mouthed neighbor, dear "god" please send him to jail. Jail should be reserved for those who rape, murder, dominate others, ie making them wear burka's for example, honor killings, etc. NOT because ya don't like them, or something they said. Not even if they insult you, or are mean to you.

That just makes you 1000% worse than they are and evil beyond belief!
