Autoplaying Video upon Thread Opening - Seems to be Gone

About three months ago after having received an unpleasant shock when opening a Jesse Ventura thread with a video that automatically played in the middle of the night, I posted a Board Business thread and I wasn't even particularly nice, was very nearly rude, complaining about how no one likes autoplay videos and asking for flags if a reader agreed. Here it is:

The thread received quite a few flags (at least for me) posts in agreement, and even a mod response from Don't Tread on Me all of which I appreciated.

Last night I clicked on another Jesse thread, and just now tonight I did it again. And there was no autoplay.

I posted this thread because if I am going to call anyone out for doing something I don't like - it's only fair to call out on the flip side too.

Thanks for allowing me to click wherever with no anxious fear I'm going to disturb my whole house unexpectedly in the middle of the night.

i dont like those autoplay videos either. but you can of course turn the volume on your pc down you know...........

your volume settings are no ones fault but the user.
