Again, without his parents, he wouldn't have been there on TV. There is no there there with him alone. They got him into it.

It's like saying that if one on the Jon and Kate + 8 kids goes of his or her rocker someday, he or she had it coming because they appeared on TV as a kid.

Josh Duggar was 20 years old when 17 Kids and Counting premiered. He got himself on TV. I doubt he was forced to sign any contracts at gun point.

Perhaps I have an inherent brain defect, but I just can't grasp why anyone would have any interest in reality T.V. Being a "celebrity" doesn't make someone different than anyone else. Their personal lives should matter as little the guy in the next town over that you have never heard anything about. Except, when someone hams someone else. He harmed his sisters and therefore is a public threat. That is the only thing about this guy worth knowing.

The problem about the entire Duggars in a nut shell is this:

They will not lay low and let things die down. And the more they raise up to get back into the spot light, the more things are going to come out. What Josh Duggar did, was wrong, and ultimately the fact that he was never punished, his parents hide this fact for so long and that he never got counseling or treatment for his actions, is what upset many people. It is a double standard that was applied to him and that should never have been allowed or permitted. But that is the past. And based off of their reaction, it came out that the Duggars were not expecting the reaction that they got from the general public.

This could have blown over, all of the digging, all of the scandals, and the public interest, would have died down, if they just faded back into the background and not remained in the public spotlight. However, they have chosen to remain there and now, more skeletons are coming out of the proverbial closet. And here is why it becomes a public right to know and interest:

They stance that they have taken is on traditional marriage, however, the actions of the son Josh, have shown a hypocrisy that sticks out. They constant attempts to get back into the spot light, to be on TV, all the while more and more skeletons coming out, is making them damaged goods. Combine that with the question about their finances and the storm clouds are brewing big time to where it will not be good for them at all.

You are missing the point.

The entire concept behind the show is that the Duggars had such an enormous family.

Josh Duggar didn't do that. His parents did. Without his parents and their incredible libidos, there is no family and thus, no show for Josh.

It's not like anyone saw Josh Duggar and said, "Hey! Get that person on TV with his own show."

He made his fortune selling fake family values, and looking down his nose at anyone who doesn't share his satanic faith.

Looks like Karma ran over his Dogma from here.

Ok folks, my bad (I had a code brown situation), on page 1 I attributed The Family Foundation to Josh Duggar. It is actually The Family Research Council Wiki
that he was previously (until the molestation thing came out) the executive director of.

An amicus brief was submitted by the Council jointly with Focus on the Family, in the U.S. Supreme Court case Lawrence v. Texas, the case that overturned sodomy laws on privacy grounds.[52] The summary of the amicus curiae brief declares that "States may discourage the 'evils' ... of sexual acts outside of marriage by means up to and including criminal prohibition" and that it is constitutionally permissible for Texas to "choose to protect marital intimacy by prohibiting same-sex 'deviate'[53] acts".[54] Similar positions have been advocated by representatives of the organisation since the Supreme Court case was decided in 2003.

Their action was mainly against sodomy (hey, who doesn't enjoy some good sodomy from time to time?) but note the phrase "sexual acts outside of marriage by mean up to and including criminal prohibition". Hmmm...

Also anti pornography (hey, who doesn't enjoy some good porn from time to time?) but I guess sex toys with your mistress is A okay!

In 2010, the FRC paid $25,000 to congressional lobbyists for what they described as "Res.1064 Ugandan Resolution Pro-homosexual promotion" in a lobbying disclosure report.[67] The US House of Representatives resolution condemned the Uganda Anti-Homosexuality Bill,[68] a bill which, among other things, would have imposed either the death penalty or life imprisonment for sexual relations between persons of the same sex.[69][70][71][72]

Death penalty or life in prison for being gay??? Yikes! What if I experimented in college, could I just get probation?
Oh wait, back peddle alert, after bribing *cough* I mean, contributing $25,000 for this bill they later made this statement:

"FRC does not support the Uganda bill, and does not support the death penalty for homosexuality — nor any other penalty which would have the effect of inhibiting compassionate pastoral, psychological, and medical care and treatment for those who experience same-sex attractions or who engage in homosexual conduct".

Whew! What a relief that medical care is available to treat my homosexuality!

In all seriousness, kudos to the posters on this thread that are condemning the delight that some of us are experiencing. It is immature, counterproductive and lynch mobbish. Good for you for being so logical and compassionate.

I will fully admit that I love a good, sordid romp every now and then!

And remember, you DID click on the thread....so a little piece of you can't look away from the train wreck just like the rest of us!

Or molested your sisters, I'm certain. I have some skeletons in my closet (though I've revealed most of them here on ATS), but NOTHING like molestation or cheating, while holding an executive position at the Family Research Council, no less!

The first thing that comes to mind when I read this was his poor wife! More than any feelings of giddiness or satisfaction of comeuppance that I may feel, I feel compassion toward his wife and I can't believe some people are seemingly defending him. He's an A-1 Creep and should be in court, IMO.

Damn I am still trying to figure out who the hell the Dugger guy is!

I could have just not clicked but your thread title was so inviting! This is just wrong on so many levels I don't want to comment further on the poor dude that I don't know.....

Ok, the source is Gawker, so sue me. It's being reported by other outlets as well.

Gawker Article

So not only did this holier-than-thou scumbag molest little girls (including his own sisters, yuck) but now the Ashley Madison hack has revealed some pretty damning evidence. It seems he (allegedly) had not one, but two accounts to the tune of $1000. And was seeking extramarital sex acts including:

“Conventional Sex,” Experimenting with Sex Toys,” One-Night Stands,” “Open to Experimentation,” “Gentleness,” “Good With Your Hands,” Sensual Massage,” “Extended Foreplay/Teasing,” “Bubble Bath for 2,” “Likes to Give Oral Sex,” “Likes to Receive Oral Sex,” “Someone I Can Teach,” “Someone Who Can Teach Me,” “Kissing,” “Cuddling & Hugging,” “Sharing Fantasies,” “Sex Talk.”

AND he purchased the 'affair or your money back' guarantee for $250. If you don't have an affair within 3 months you get your money back!

Anyway, I fully realize this is dirty, dirty gossip...but it's oh so entertaining! As with most articles, the comments are the best, be sure to scroll down!!!

I'm wondering how many Bill Clinton accounts show up on Ashley Madison.

Maybe while Hillary had her own email server gong on Bill had his own Ashley Madison servers in the basement, LOL.

I keep running into you all over these boards Kellyjay

This is interesting as here in Sydney (Australia), there have been some high position people outed through this thing including cops and certain high ranking people in powerful positions .

I dont think that everyone on AMs membership database is running around picking their clothes up of the front lawn as there are certain couples here (and in the states im sure) that are in an "open" relationship .

Apparently the people that own AM also run a few other websites with the same principle of AMS motto "life is short have an affair" .

The data released by the hacker or hackers - which go by the name The Impact Team - includes sensitive internal data stolen from Avid Life Media (ALM), the Toronto-based firm that owns AshleyMadison as well as related hook-up sites Cougar Life and Established Men.

And more specifically from my backyard ..

More than 700 Australian public servants have been exposed as alleged cheaters who use adultery dating site Ashley Madison to find their next flings. Among the most frequent users of the site are employees in the Department of Education and Defence, activist site AGNews has claimed. According to data released on an online forum, 290 employees from these departments are using their work emails to interact on Ashley Madison.

Australian AM Info Leak Source

This thing will get alot bigger and alot more serious .
I know i will be paying attention .

Yet you opened this thread and have posted three times, with VERY little content. Feel free to go post in threads about Hillary's emails. There are many.
..............................................

On topic, how could Josh have had ANY respect whatsoever for his wife (or other women)? Was he raised to think of women a certain way? This is all just so sad.

The first account had a billing address listed as his grandmother Mary’s Fayetteville, Arkansas home — the same home that Anna Duggar gave birth to the couple’s first child in 2009. The second account was reportedly linked to his home in Oxon Hill, Maryland, where he lived with his wife and children while working the Family Research Council.

I wonder how many people when they heard that AM had been hacked started looking over their shoulder, or paying extra attention to their spouse to distract them from browsing the database.

I could care less about the duggars, never did care for them.

I wonder how many people who's identities may have been stolen were used on that website? Not saying this is the case here, because this guy seems like an epic asshole, but it makes you wonder.
