Is 2015 shaping up to be one of the best years for gamers? In terms of hype, anticipation of quality titles and variety of choice, I find it difficult to recall a bigger year for gamers. The exciting news is that we are already eight months into the year and there are still many more decent titles to come.

I was browsing the Internet and came across a useful web page from GameInformer, which lists the official release dates for games as well as those of other games where the release date has not been confirmed.

2015 Video Game Release Schedule

As a gamer, how do you feel about 2015 and what it has brought (and will bring) to the table?

Im hooked on Destiny. While it was a slow and battered/bruised start for the series last year, its really starting to shape up. With the next expansion coming Sept 15th and it being nearly as big as the original release, it appears its going to tide me over until D2 is released, so... works for me.

Some of the re-releases are great, like GTA V (awesome game), Homeworld remastered and State of Decay.

Of course we are all looking forward to Fallout IV and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is one of the few games to get 10/10 from a certain gaming magazine (I don't remember which one).

So basically this year I got The Witcher III and Dark Souls II and I am going to get Fallout 4. I also got The Elder Scrolls Online for my Xbox One.

Interesting list but can't say this was the best so far IMO, and that is if not counting Fallout-checking out others not familiar with as of yet. Pretty disappointed in hearing the conclusion on some games that were TBA since one looks like it won't be now, the other isn't doing to well. That was supposed to be for this year and or next.

I feel like I have 2025 standards for gaming or something.

I refuse to buy a game that doesn't have a retarded amount of longevity.

Most of these titles you'll beat once and then never play again.

We've had titles as early as 1998 that utilized online multiplayer to provide an endless gaming experience and so few gaming companies are utilizing this technology even in 2015, and I think it's kind of pathetic. If you release a game in this age that doesn't have some sort of end-game grind or online multiplayer, then I will not purchase it.

But maybe I'm just picky.

Assassins Creed Syndicate looks awesome.

Everybody's Gone To Rapture also looks awesome too.

Metal Gear Solid 5... I still love metal gear solid 3 on psone lol so if that's anything to go by metal gear solid five should be awesome.

No man's sky. No comment.

Yeah, I have to agree 2015 does feel like a great year for gaming.

Dude...calm down. Its only a Vita game, and therefore, like the entirety of the hand held market these days, is largely irrelevant. Its probably a version of the Duke Nukem game that came out for the PS3 some years back, fine tuned for the Vita.

When they announce another Nukem game for a console though... Hooo boy! I am one of the rare few people who really enjoyed his last outing on a big console

So far the only good games to have come out have been remastered older games like GTA and dark souls2. Other than that games have been outright embarrassing. I have an Xbox One and the best looking game by far is Forza and that was made in 2014. The Witcher 3 is a very very good candidate but once you scratch the surface it's pretty dull playing on the hardest difficulty and still defeating everything just by hacking it and using your shield. Dying light I loved at first but gave up about half way in due to the same errand boy missions and still haven't beat it and don't want to.

I don't know if it's just me or I think next gen games are horribly boring and easy. I have yet to find any actually challenging. And if they are good at all you beat them in a day and it just sits there to collect dust.

The year is not up yet and I am looking forward to pretty much Fallout 4. Until then I respectfully disagree that 2015 is a good year for gaming, unless you like game breaking glitches or unstable frame rates.

I just think companies are pushing games out too fast trying to get their money's worth out of a copy and paste basis. If they sat there and actually worked on new ideas and quality then they would be a lot better.

Until then I'm going to be playing my Remastered dark souls 2. That game is great on every level without a doubt.

As a gamer, I hate all and any games which rely on any multiplayer function in order to provide the majority of their fun factor.

I play games when I do NOT want the company of others more often than not, the only exception being when I play with family and friends. I do not want to spend ANY time gaming with strangers from distant lands, who cannot control the volume output on their damned headset mic.

I frankly despise online multiplayer gaming. Gaming is supposed to be an ANTI-social experience, and I hate that anyone ever dared to try to change that, especially the creators of that cutesy, pathetic, moronic money pit that is World of Warcraft. I hope every single person who has ever worked on that game gets genital warts. Gaming, for me, means gutting thousands of sprites, all mine to slaughter, just my fun, no one elses. My kills. My shot.

I do not like to share the digital murder, and I never will.

Many out there are not into multiplayer style of play. That said, it doesn't hurt to offer it with a game, so that people have an option.

There is also a world of difference in creating a game when it comes to multiplayer.

There are plenty of games out there that do not end once the gamer has finished the main quest/storyline. Elder Scroll games are good for that. Fallout 3 at first did end, but they changed it so that it didn't have to with the Broken Steel DLC. Yes, it does end with Fallout New Vegas, but it was just put out that they will not be making that mistake with Fallout 4. The game will continue on after the player has finished the main quest / storyline.

On the flip side, games that depend completely on being an online MMO can thrive. Eve Online is a great example of that. I played it for many years, and it's certainly a game that you have to have a different mind set all together to play. You have to understand that you will be playing the game with other real people, and that you MUST stick to the motto: In Eve, trust NO ONE.

All I'm waiting for is Forza 6... That and the backwards compatibility thing so I can play the older CoD games that I used to play when I had a 360.

Between Fallout 4 and No Mans Sky, if they don't screw it up, will probably keep me happy for months.

I love Creed, it's one of my favorite series, but after the bad smell of Paris last year I may wait a couple weeks till I pick it up.

Just mastered Boderlands 2 the last few months, never thought I'd love it so much. I would be just as excited to see a 3rd installment and not some stupid badly done copy like pre-sequal was.

Duke Nukem was a production disaster from beginning to end. Too many co's tried to salvage a tossed project. The next one I have a gut feeling will be awesome in comparison but probably not mind blowing or a next gen masterpiece either.

Wish someone would do a space age type Skyrim. No Mans Sky may come close but not really sure of the specifics for it being a fps.

DOOM, DOOM, DOOM!!! loved Doom BFG Edition can't wait till the next installment just for kicks. DOOM 3 I felt never got the credit it deserved.

Anyway can't wait to play what roles in next!

PS - I hate multiplayer based games also. Unfortunately multiplayer = money for all production companies and there cohorts. It will probably get worse as it goes. . .

PPS - Will someone get the Shadow of Colossus sequal moving along!

I`d get back into gaming if a decent flight sim was produced, not since Over G Fighters or Birds Of Steel anyways. No Man`s Sky looks incredible though so I may get sucked into it and I miss playing Forza 3 and completely missed out on the following releases.

Been a good year, I have put most of my time into The Witcher 3 and Dying light, those two were beasts!
