I dunno... boffins like Neil DeGrasse Tyson believes mathematics is the universal language and I agree with him. For example:

Two plus two is four.

Numbers are universal.

Haikus are awesome.

I was hopeless at math in school but numbers is something that we all understand, Maybe it is possible.

The concept of, "'Folie à deux" or shared insanity. Thoughts can be transmitted like a virus (memes anyone?).

I'm also reminded of the movie Pontypool which you should definitely check out if you haven't seen it already.

As the movie implies, words can be used as a virus. Not just in computers as transfers, but in our own minds, depending on our understanding. Words can be used as triggers and blended to be a catalyst for more complex programming.

Like in Doom, words used as a weapon, in the right hands, can kill.

They have had chemistry added to our food for a long time that makes people submissive. That science was designed fifty or more years ago. There is too much of this chemistry out there though and sometimes the GRAS chemicals clash with our bodies and cause diseases or dope us up too much if we consume too much of one class. Some foods naturally do this to us, they are saying all these foods that weaken us or dope us are good for us. People pass around info to others of how good the food is somewhere because it makes them feel good and a little high. So society is spreading this and everyone is high and they are running society. See where I am going?

I guess this then excludes Finnish and Finns ... That language is such an oddball... Which might then save the whole humanity, if all the rest will have brains fried by MIT and cahoots.

Mathematics is symbolic expression... So is language. Maths is language. They're the same thing. That's why you can prove 1=2 and 1= 1/2 of 2 and both are valid.

So, I read the article in ArsTechnica.

First thing, MIT does not believe they've discovered anything. They think they've found some rather sincere pointers. But, they even admitted that many of the languages are sibling languages, like the romance languages (French, Italian, Spanish, Latin).

Second, all it really said was that they found a PATTERN. That pattern being, that languages look to do away with fluff words, and stick with the essence of logical communication. Is the stove hot? Is the super cool red stove red-hot?

They showed that most languages simply look to convey a thought in as few words as possible. Fewer words, greater chance of concisely conveying a complete thought.

ALSO...there was NOTHING in the article about NLP! That was major jump you made.

It was a jump admittedly... towards what I referenced.

Maybe best used to cure pedo's and not mind control a whole human race except the Finns.

Numbers aren't the language, they are only important now because of how we used them to make computers, measurements and currency.

They will find a better solution to numbers soon I am sure, and numbers are a type of language we invented after language.

Well, I do hope you realized that nothing you thought was supporting you is.

MIT doesn't even believe they've found a true answer. Merely an interesting path.

MIT has found the "language universal" that connects all human verbal communication. Anyone who has read the excellent book, "Snow Crash" by Neil Stephenson

Stopped reading right there. God awful book.

The MIT study simply states that languages have a measurable tendency to place meaning related words closer together. So, "old man." It's hardly mind-control, and it ain't rocket science neither.

They are studying sentence structure, proposing that keeping related words together is a universal. This is quite different from the "original language" in Snow Crash.

These aren't the deep brain structures your looking for...

The article says nothing about a universal language, it says they found a common property among all languages, which is that words with similar meanings are often close together in sentences. And it's obvious why that must be true, the same thing is true for sentences in a paragraph, each sentence should be related to the last sentence otherwise it wont make much sense. Chat bots are often very poor at maintaining a discussion on a particular topic because they don't produce sentences with meanings related to previous sentences in the conversation. They will often just say totally random things which have nothing to do with the last thing they said. Clearly it's very hard to produce chat bots which can follow the flow of a conversation, because they don't just need to understand the meaning of singular words, they need to be able to understand the meaning of entire sentences.

A common notion between languages sure. They were all invented by the human mind.

Finnish is a funny language

Odd, maybe in the area of the Baltics as opposed to Swedish and Russian. But is part of the Finno-Ugrian language family:

Finnish and Hungarian
At first glance, the differences between Hungarian and Finnish seem overwhelming. In fact, not only are Finnish and Hungarian speakers are mutually unintelligible to each other, but Hungarian and Finnish differ significantly in basic word order, phonology, and vocabulary. For example, although both based on the Latin alphabet, Hungarian has 44 letters while Finnish has only 29 in comparison.

However,

Upon closer inspection of these languages, several patterns reveal their common origin. For example, both languages employ an elaborate case system. This case system uses a word root and then the speaker can add several prefixes and suffixes in order to tailor it for their specific needs.
More at the Source
As the people both originated from Proto-Uralics that were living in the Ural Mountain area.

Covert hypnosis refers to an attempt to communicate with another person's unconscious mind without that person noticing. As it often takes place in the course of a seemingly regular conversation, it is also known as conversational hypnosis or sleight of mouth.[1] The objective is to change the person’s behavior subconsciously so that the target believes that they changed their mind of their own volition. When performed successfully, the target is unaware that they have been hypnotized or that anything unusual has occurred.

Wikipedia: Convert Hypnosis

This kind of stuff in psychology is very real. I am currently undergoing a very effective hypnosis treatment for my PTSD called EMDR therapy that uses eye movements to process traumatic memories. That is one example.

This article talks about ways to hypnotise people in general conversation. Stuff like this is popular with pick-up artists.

Very interesting, but in reality, most people have been sleepwalking through life as it is. Those who are awake will always be with us too.

This breakthrough in understanding could be the forefront of our developing telepathy, imo. While those who are awake will see it, understand it and use it to meet their agenda, the telepathic synopsis are still clicking and some sort of awareness is bubbling up from the deep subconsciousness.

Watching evolution in present time! Very cool!

Star and flag for the provocative thread!

There is just ONE problem, who's to say that those in power wont use telepathy as a way to masquerade as God? Am I being far fetched ? Watch this and draw your own conclusion from a film in the 1980's.

I suspect similar things have happened to me.
All it comes down to, is trusting your own judgement.
I put myself above all others, unless I hear a reasoned argument that changes my mind.
Because I think all the time, I have plenty of options to learn and change how I feel.
Resisting mind control is pointless, but controlling ones own mind is amazing.
Expect illusions.
Maintain your own central balance.
As we are more and more communicative,
the trick that more minds are better than less..
Not really a way to undermine truth.
It has a way and a mind on it's own.

The only way to stop truth is fear.

I'm not going to stop speaking.
Mind control works on ALL humans.
"They" are victims of me as much as I am of "them."

I don't know of a civilization from the past that allowed so much open disdain for controlling wrong actions.
It's not allowed by the good will of controllers. No.
It's forced on "them" by virtue of the true power distribution.

Exactly. This is actually a fear I have, can you imagine the amount of schizophrenics that would rise if something like that was done on a global scale? It is a very very scary thought. But It reminds me of something I read about the three days of darkness and the voice of temptation.

The funny thing is, the technology exists to actually do this stuff. Thats far scarier considering the corruption those in power are in.
