whats more horrible and disgusting is people on this thread using this as a platform to spew their PP nonsense instead of the fact that an 11yr old was raped........

I find sickening is that even though the baby was born, regardless of our stance on abortion, is that people continue to say she should've been aborted

Yes she should have, because if she survives she will likely be abused herself, or get pregnant at a young age and have more children that can't be taken care of and who's lives will be hell, and when they have no options they might become criminals and victimize other people.

Those religious groups are evil, all they want is to be sure there are lots of poor, uneducated people they can manipulate.

don't talk to me about the horrors of child sexual abuse....I am a victim of it!!

but two horrors aren't better than one! and claiming that the life of the fetus is reason to allow a child to suffer permanent health injury or even death to me, would just make the child feel even more worthless and abused!

oh and by the way, in brazil the little nine year old with twins that the family did manage to get an abortion for, well the catholic church excommunicated everyone involved in the abortion, but not the rapist!!! obviously they think that raping kids isn't as big a deal as I do even!!
ya saving a kid's life is more sinful than raping the kids to begin with!

it's been over 50 years since I was that young child, and it is still happening, even in foster homes where the gov't puts kids for their protection, where the foster parents are supposedly trained as to how to be a parent for these troubled kids.....it happens!! what are we supposed to let our daughters die trying to give birth another 50, 100, one thousand, forever years till men stop thinking it's okay to have sexual fun with young girls???

Pedophiles are not men or human. But, as long people believe that they have a say over a girl/woman body, they always will be seen as less. Less than the rapist, less than the rapists baby. Even in the United States. It happened to my 11yr old niece, who spontaneously aborted because she was too small.

I think this is a touchy subject for women, especially older ones. In times past, we were sent away or it was not talked about. I think that is changing and women are going to tell their stories, maybe even years later. And if you think this child will ever have a happy relationship with a husband, you would be wrong.

and when we try to convey our feeling about little pregnant girls being put into danger by forcing them to try to carry the baby to term after being raped....
oh, we just have our priorities screwed up! we should be more concerned about the rape and less about the fact that their laws would endanger the poor child's life!!!

like I said, I was a victim of child sexual assault at a young age. did it screw me up a little, well, ya, but I wasn't aware of it till it started affecting my relationship with my husband in weird ways and well, after quite a bit or praying and seeking I remembered it!!! now, if I had gotten pregnant, carried the baby, had the baby, and we grew up with siblings, reckon, do you think I would have had a chance in hades of ever forgetting where that child came from or what had happened? do you think that maybe, just maybe, I may have been just a little more screwed up? especially if my mother fought a legal battle just to get treatment for something that she though was a threat to my life??? think maybe I might have sensed my mothers fear and become a tad bit fearful myself, maybe even came to the conclusion that no one outside of her really cared weather I lived or died?

Well the OP's point and the first 20 posts that got their bundle of stars is not about a 11 year old getting raped, it is about not allowing her to have an abortion... An abortion at 5 Months in the pregnancy...There is a lot wrong with this whole story and people want to use it as their pro abortion poster child....pardon the pun....

Could we say that the vast majority of all aborted babies are done for reasons of convenience only, in a for profit system that encourages abortions by either making money off of them or paying for them to reduce future dependency on the State?

I'm not against abortions, but I do recognize a for profit industry that makes much more money in aborting than planning....

Forcing a young girl to go through a procedure that kills her child is just as vile..

There are a ton of support groups for abortion.. hardly any for the psychological damage done after they get one..

Two very close women in my life still suffer from thier "choice" they made years ago..

I know this post is in vain , seeing how ether one of us will sway the other..

There is no easy answer but imho, forcing an abortion on an 11 year old would have been even worse..
