The sparring between Donald Trump and Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul has escalated since their performance on the GOP debate stage last week, spilling over onto the airwaves and newspapers where Trump is calling on Paul to quit the race.

Trump has issued an aggressive response to an ad Paul released that attacks the billionaire businessman by questioning his conservative credentials.

Are there ATS members that once were Rand supporters that have transferred their support to Donald Trump?

Why?

At one time I thought the Donalds candidacy was a joke...now I'm not so sure. Apparently he is putting together a team to make a serious bid for the nomination.

I really doubt Rand supporters jumped over to Trumps camp since they're so different. Now it's possible they jumped over to Sanders camp.

I am still a Rand supporter, although I am not particularly fond of how he is handling the campaign.

I thought he would have more class than to just resort to smearing... although we are talking 21st century politics here.

Also, I wish he was not so afraid to speak up during the "debate". He had some good opportunities to throw the establishment Republicans under the bus (which a lot of the older/status quo Republicans need right now... a reality check), but instead he flaked out.

I don't see Trump as a serious contender although he plays the role. He's in the GOP to shake things up and then he'll go home. He'll bow out just like Perot.

I don't support anyone, but I have found myself like Donald more and more with the stuff he says.....This is just awesome though! Telling Rand Paul (please don't mistake him for Ron) to quit the race? I absolutely love this!

That's exactly how I see this playing out....He is on Hillary's side, operation sideshow.....But his thought process could always change with the right support....Never know

OH, I think he's serious. However, he demonstrates on a daily basis how and why he is incapable of being President of the United States. The fact that he doesn't understand (or simply refuses to follow) simple diplomacy or decorum is a good example of the delusions he follows. He is unfit for pretty much any public office.

Wait.....Isn't that statement exactly what 21st century politics are?? How would Rand tuck his tail and run when he is attacked as such?

I am in on him because of this! I am tired of lifetime politicians really.....Get a businessman in office and let's see how he does....Although revert to another post to reveal my true feelings on this man..

I can't stand Trump. He seems like a pompous ass. That's putting it nicely. Him telling Rand to go home tells me that Rand makes him very nervous.

Maybe off topic but I read somewhere that Trump's casinos were bankrupt a few years ago. They didn't get closed down because they were too big to fail. I forget where I saw it.

Yes because when you cannot face the truth that someone is telling about you the best way to silence them is to tell them to go home. If Trump can't take the heat then maybe he should go home.

Aww did someone hurt feelings by telling him to go home? You can play the world's smallest violin behind Mr Paul just for him so he can cry on the shoulder of those who think he is being "bullied"....

Eff that....I want to see how these "candidates" respond to conflict....What better way than back them into a corner?

GO DON!!!

Rand is acting like a poodle. I have left the girly man.

I love Trump, at least he acts like a man not a sissy.

Donald Trump understands Rand poses a serious threat to him

Rand is a strict constitutional conservative w the background and history to prove it

Rand has policy ideas and knows how the system actually works to put things in action

IMHO rand is one of the few (if not the only) real threat to Trump(besides himself)

Trump isn't going to have a lot of ammunition to fight against rand

And rand isn't intimidated by Trump at all

I'm sure he's scared of him. So yes I'm sure he wants him to go home

YEP! Tuck that tail and run away...Or pout because someone is bullying you.....I lost my respect for him (not like I had any to begin with other than being Ron's son)....
