I Haunt Her (Poem)

She lays by the bay,
To what year, I can’t say.
A book in her hands,
A breath, I can’t take.

There are things that she wants,
Things I can’t give.
I’d say it’s my fear.
The truth is worse,
I fail everyone that I hold dear.

There will be a day
When we will speak.
But it will be too late,
For I passed and you remain.
A ghost to all that is true in your brain.
