a reply to: kellyjay leave politics out of it stop using the planned parenthood hysteria as a political tool. It's weird and uncalled for as politics should have no place in any debate in abortion
That's the first fallacy I noticed in this thread from the OP.
There are a few others as well.
I'm just waiting for Margaret Sagner & Godwin's Law to arise and then it's pretty much a full house.
OP:
You didn't answer Lucidity's question...
If 695/700 haven't broken the law, why defund them?
Bearing in mind this is about PP defunding and not abortion, nice little appeal to emotion you slipped in there...
And given that funding doesn't pay for abortion, so abortion is moot and your fallacy irrelevant...
Would they still need to be completely defunded?
Or just shut down the 5/700 that broke the law?

obama only provides subsidies for HEALTH INSURANCE, and well, it doesn't really even provide these adequately. I and my three of my adult sons all were exempt last year (even with my husband's wages) from the mandate because we couldn't afford the subsidized care!
my husband passed away early this year. We couldn't afford the healthcare I needed to stay in the workforce while he was here earning a wage so I opted to forget about the healthcare and stayed home and did what I could here.
I have no income
and there is no help!!
no welfare, at least nothing that will enable to keep a roof over my head.. my kids are not minors.
no social security, same reason,
AND NO HEALTHCARE, although I am gonna try that free clinic I mentioned and talk to them see if they have the nerve to refuse me because I am not working!
our country seems to spend a hell of alot of money helping the same danged people, to the point where what they are given far exceeds what the people who don't fit their definition of "needy" or "poor" earn....but they will leave out some of well, have absolutely nothing!
you can't provide the name of any group here that provide the same services to me as planned parenthood would, and they would have the freedom to throw away their own standards of just what makes a person "poor" and "needy" and you don't even live in the states. But continue on....

Your "tax dollars" aren't paying for anything in the U.S.
No American tax dollars go to abortion either.
Next?
my taxes may not in the US but they do here in the UK....unless of course you are suggesting i dont have the right to speak about current events?

I will say this ... there are a lot of inconsistencies in your expression and terminology for an actual Scot.
The terminology you use is pure American right-wing propaganda. Word-for-word on winger talking points.
I find that very curious ... interesting even. You don't use Scottish idioms, you made the mistake of referring to your tax dollars going to abortion ... etc. etc.
However, as to what you can say and where you can say it ... I give not a hoot.
When you choose to do your bit to propagate lies and partisan BS, I'll correct you when it comes to my attention.
Your tax dollars do not go to fund Planned Parenthood, however you look at it.

get insurance that covers abortion, or go to another clinic that isnt being investigated for possibly selling baby body parts....
How many abortions occur each year in the United States?
Answer
There were roughly 1.2 million abortions performed in 2008, and the abortion rate was 20 per 1,000 women aged 15–44.[31] Put differently, about 2% of American women aged 15–44 had an abortion that year.
SOURCE
According to the annual report, 42 percent of the services it provides is for STI/STD testing and treatment, 34 percent is for contraception, and 9 percent goes to cancer screening. Another 12 percent is miscellaneous women's health and other health services. The 327,653 abortions Planned Parenthood clinics perform each year make up just 3 percent of the total services the group provides.
Furthermore, supporters of Planned Parenthood say that smaller health care facilities across the nation wouldn't be able to handle the influx of patients if Planned Parenthood could no longer provide many of these services.

I am living off the money I can get off of the things I can sell and I am running out of things to sell, I figure I will join the ranks of the homeless in about a month and a half, I have learned that not only have all the jobs that women with my qualifications have been in that have been created were eaten up by immigrants (who by the way really have no reason to worry about how much they are paid) but also some of those that had already existed. I went to the mall once lately just to walk through it and see what was there of interest. I managed to walk through it but avoided browsing in many of the stores along the way because I was hurting before I even made it halfway, I had to sit down and rest before I could leave the place, and well, I ended up walking with a limp for about a week afterwards.....and I have a lady living next door who stops in about four times a week wanting to bum # off of me who is perfectly able to walk farther than I can and is getting a gov't check every month!!!
Anger is all I have left!
but, the homeless in this country, ya know the ones who seem to think don't need the services like planned parenthood (by the way, you need an actual roof over your head to get obamacare also) will be glad to know that you think they should get a socialized healthcare system in the not so near future!!!!
