Actually two versions. One coded for Itanium CPU's and another of x64 CPU's.
It used the same kernel as Server 2003 and had a ton of improvements over the 32 bit version such as starting out with the equivalent of SP2 installed
What killed it was driver support and that 64 bit CPU's were not common place yet.
I was running 64 bit NT4.0 on a DEC Alpha back in the day long before XP. Wicked fast for back then.

Yep , and OS/2 Warp was the 1st 32bit .Way..... before its time.MS based the later Widows on it.
