New York White Supremacist Blows Off His Own Leg While Making Bombs At His House: Prosecutors

This guy is the son of the Chair of the Niagra County Legislature and a former county corrections officer.

An upstate New York man who blew his leg off in his garage making improvised explosive devices will be held in federal custody without bail because law enforcement found white supremacist paraphernalia and believe he’s dangerous, WGRZ reports.

Michael O’Neill, 45, a former Niagara County corrections officer, is accused of making seven bombs and was arrested two weeks ago after one of the devices accidentally went off. O’Neill was rushed to a hospital where his leg had to be amputated. He was the only one injured, WGRZ reports.

Lords knows what kinds of reading I have here - hell they could tag whatever label they wanted simply by looking over my bookshelves.
I need more proof before I'm willing to hang that tag on this man.
No doubt he's dangerous making explosives.

It is a brief overview but it isn't the paraphernalia that puts him at risk for federal charges... it's the IED materials, nails etc. No mention of who the target was or if there was one. My personal speculation though is that he is probably another lone wolf type, while they do tend to be racist... some of them don't specifically target minorities but society as a whole.

Being a white supremacist isn't illegal so I don't understand your need of evidence of that. Making explosives in your garage is and the seem to have plenty of evidence of that, namely a dude missing a foot... being labeled a white supremacist seems to be the least of this guys troubles.

It's not this guy I'm concerned about, it's the dozens of others just like him that don't get caught I grow more concerned about.
