"So when the phrase "once in a blue moon" was coined, it meant something so rare you'd be lucky (or unlucky) to see in your lifetime, according to NASA's National Space Science Data Center."

Here is the story, Rare Blue Moon comes Friday

I would be so happy and lucky if I could see my ex-girlfriend (my soulmate) even just one more time. But I know as I look at the moon tomorrow that is not going to happen. I am just a hopeless romantic.

Here is another good article on spirituality if your are interested: Blue Moon in Aquarius, Now or Never

"There is so much happening around this moon in terms of once-in-a-lifetime type chances. It’s as if we are all on the edge of something so big and we have to make the decision to take the path we’ve always taken—or to jump into the territory of new possibilities.

Because of Venus, the planet of love, going retrograde a week prior to this moon, there will be a heavy connection to romantic relationships. This isn’t about just any sort of love though—it’s about the kind of love that comes around only once in a blue moon.

The full moon will be shining a decadent light of truth deep within our hearts.

This will give us the opportunity to get a good grasp on what is in our heart of hearts—if we don’t have our soulmate or twin flame as our lover, then there is a good chance we are aware of who they are, or may start to recognize them around this time."

Is there something rare you would like to see? Have you found your soulmate?

The rare thing I would like to see is Bigfoot. I have lived in the PNW all my life, fished and hiked many a remote spot, and never had an encounter. In all likelihood I would probably soil myself, but still would like that rare opportunity.

I was truly fortunate to have found my soulmate 27 years ago, and sometimes she even lets me catch her when I chase he around the house these days.

Every month has a full moon, but because the lunar cycle and the calendar year aren't perfectly synched, about every three years we wind up with two in the same calendar month.

Well maybe we should go to a damn 13 month calendar?!?!?! What is it? Gregorian?

An end to the 107 degree temperatures and the smoke settling on the area from a fire west of Crater Lake. Yeah, I'd be very happy to see that.

If you want to see bigfoot,

be of the clean spirit and mind and call them, these are NOT just animals

I am dead serious

No justQ. That would not be luck for me, or anyone I know. Well, I take that back. No one mentioned 'good' luck. I think it would be a great misfortune for that to come about as a result of luck. That, my friend will have to take place by the will of the people.

Boscowashisnamo, let me know if you see Bigfoot, I hope you do! I have always hoped someone could prove the existence of him/or her! It sounds like you are in the thick of it, and if anyone would find sasquatch it could be you!

And thank you for sharing about finding your soulmate 27 years ago. Congradulations!! I love hearing about great love stories. And I am glad she lets you catch her sometimes.

And RealtruthSeeker, hopefully you get that check on time tomorrow, it is a blue moon afterall!

I never claimed they were JUST animals. I think of them as do a lot of the local Natives--intelligent, sentient beings. The Duwamish and Snoqualmie Tribes describe a long history of interactions and observations, filled with awe and respect.

the term once in a blue moon really does have an ideal meaning because of this month of July 2nd and 31 st. Something alot of us will always remember when this rolls around again. My Wife and I always go out every night to star gaze and never see nothing of any excitement. Still waiting for the one time to take pictures and Blog! Good Day to All! James Weston

I am going to be totally crass and flippant on this, although I do appreciate the relevance of this moon.

I am taking the wife to see one of her favourite bands, The Dandy Warhols live and we are going to thoroughly enjoy ourselves. I just hope they will be brilliant live.
