Yea, no surprise there. I'm growing convinced that this is going to all end up blowing up in the pro-lifers' faces.

Do you find it strange that none of our friends on the right here are bothered at all by the agregious overreach the Republican Congress is threatening???

What happened to being terrified of government??

Yes. Quite strange. I guess we can only postulate that when the government suits them, they're all for it? Go running to it even? That's my impression anyway. But to be honest, I'm getting less and less capable of coping with all the cognitive dissonance around here lately.

I sure hope so.

The constant attacks on Women's health is sickening.

What I'm worried about is that this is going to turn out like Climate Gate. This is going to end up blowing over with PP being cleared of any wrong doing, yet we'll have tons of pro-lifers constantly bringing up these videos in future PP discussions without having educated themselves on the final outcome of the controversy. It'll be even MORE ironic and annoying if the Center for Medical Progress ends up federally indicted or sued into oblivion for illegally defaming an organization.

Might want to check with The Vatican on that ... they've been governing for over 2000 years.

Oh, wait, you're not saying anything factual, you're just posting "air time."

I beg your pardon; carry on!

Every election season, same old, same old from republicans. Vaginas and welfare. I think if those are the biggest problems this country has, we are doing pretty good. This is a waste of time and money. Another sign that we must be doing pretty good.

The tyrannical and totalitarian nature of these right-wingers has reached epidemic proportions!

They wish to rule by fiat from the Capitol Building!

I personally think they needed a win after their historic loss on marriage equality ... but I wish they had chosen a less fraudulent cause to "get behind."

This is going to be two in a row for them ... credibility is slipping and America likes winners!

Proof other organizations are illegal selling baby parts for profit please

Your logic is flawed. PP isn't illegally selling them for profit either. They do sell them, but it's for an amount that's less than what it takes to break even. This means selling the parts acts as a loss for them. The law allowed for the selling of parts as long as it's not for profit.

There is something inherently wrong with selling freaking body parts. If you dont think so...Id rather not have you as a neighbor...damn

How else would we get body parts for medical testing? If we're not getting them here, we're either not getting them, or human trafficking is going to rise.

Or we could abandon all medical research what so ever, I suppose that works too.

I often see a resemblance between the conservative muslims and the conservative christians.
Here is just another item that seems to point it out. only where the conservative christian movements aren't really revealing their true motives I don't think, the Muslims are really quite honest about it.

After decades of chanting "Death to America", Iran's rulers have embraced a slogan that celebrates life and procreation.

"One flower does not make Spring," reads a poster in Tehran showing a smiling father with four sons and a daughter pedalling behind him on a bicycle. "More children, a happier life."

With this slogan and a series of legal reforms, the Islamic Republic is trying to persuade its people to go forth and multiply. While other developing countries are doing their best to reduce birth rates, Iran aims to double its population to 150 million by 2050.
www.telegraph.co.uk...

if you read further down in the article, you will learn that Iran also seems intent on stripping gov't funding for birth control....
with the hopes of doubling their population!! I would propose that the motive here is really similar. only that larger population is needed much more here, or at least that is how they see it.

if you read the article you will find that the Iranian gov't isn't using birth control limitations to convince the people to procreate more. they are also using job discimination and divorce limitations as well.

It seems to me that it really doesn't matter where on earth you live, when women's freedom to chose not to have kids begins to become a problem for that country, then well the leaders will begin to remove that freedom to chose from the women.

I know, it's pretty effing stupid isn't it? And the people who are behind it are some of the same people who constantly complain about how America is going downhill.

Fundamentalist Christians and Muslims have a lot more in common than either would like to admit.

You know what they say about opposites attracting while similar people tend to dislike each other. It plays out on a mass scale too.

Then again, this applies to other religions too. In Myanmar which is full of poverty and where most people are Buddhist, they've twisted the law of karma to mean that the poor are being punished for bad karma and those that are better off should make it as uncomfortable for those working off their karma debt as possible.

People twist their religions into all kinds of distorted meanings.

the "road to enlightenment" isn't a one way street....
you can chose which direction you wish to go on it... according to your heart and desires.
but, I have found that Islam seems to be more up front when expressing their desires and motivations behind what they do than christians....
I mean:
Christian: "Oh, you poor native, you are freezing! Here friend, take these blankets they will help you stay warm."
Muslim: "We are not friends, you are satan, and we will kill you!!"

please note that in the two examples above, the groups involved were on that "road to enlightenment, salvation, however you want to phrase if, but well, they were just going in the wrong direction because in their hearts, their desires were contrary to god's.

in the case of family planning, I think the same can be said.
Christians just raise up an emotional whirlwind of "Oh, we have to save the poor innocent babies! And, oh look!! They are chopping them up and selling them to the highest bidder!!!"
The moslems are more up front about it....
They Islamic nations needs a stronger population growth, there is strength in numbers! So we want our women to have five or six, more is better kids!! And well because we want more kids we are gonna place roadblocks in your way if you decide not to have more!!!

Shutting down the government = just another way for these attention-whore ninnies and drama queens to stomp their foot and pout. A very expensive way. Why are any of them in office again? They certainly don't represent most people and they surely don't respect them.
