Islamic State Wants Major Attack in India to Trigger 'End of the World': Report

WASHINGTON: The ISIS is preparing to "to trigger a war in India" to provoke an "Armageddon-like 'end of the world'" according to a recruitment document of the terrorist group that was found in Pakistan.

"The document warns that 'preparations' for an attack in India are underway and predicts that an attack will provoke an apocalyptic confrontation with America," the report said.

The document was independently translated into English by a Harvard scholar and verified by several serving and retired intelligence officials.

Bruce Riedel, a retired CIA official and now a senior fellow at the Brookings Institute, said striking in India would magnify the ISIS' stature and threaten the stability of the region.

"Attacking in India is the Holy Grail of South Asian jihadists," he was quoted as saying.

Right ....so i am assuming for an attack which causes "End of the world" it has to be a nuke. And it has to be in such a way that the links go back to Pakistan which could start a nuclear war...

MAD works between the Indians and Pakistan, too.

IS is the caliphate, ISIS are only loyalist fighters for the Caliphate... there will be many pledging loyalty as the Indonesian & Malaysian volunteers migrate to a trouble spot they can migrate to instead of in the ME/Levant which is very foreign to the Asian Moslems

Why would an attack India result in a massive confrontation with the US that unites the Muslim world against the US and in support of IS who attacked innocent people in India?

Even for Isis this is stupid... Suspiciously stupid... Either something is missing in that report or its a fake, or a false flag op by a fake isis (if Isis hasn't been fake all along)

ISIS was born in Jordan in 1999. Where they were chased into Iraq after killing a US diplomat. Just because they change names does not mean they are new. And yes the US backed FSA which was making strong advances was then double teamed by ISIS and Assad who at first did not fight each other as they the FSA as the biggest threat. Once the had been beaten down only then did ISIS turn on Assad. I can see why you do not want any facts or history because makes everything your saying make zero sense. The US created ISIS who ruined their best chance to topple Assad? That makes a lot of sense.

As for the OP? ISIS is a regional organization with other regional groups. Its dreams are far far beyond it capabilities.

Why, do you like wallowing in ignorance? Or is a history book too difficult to understand? ISIS has existed since 1999 some two years before 911 and thus two years before vast numbers of US citizens ever heard of muslim terrorists.

Seems to me people like you want to avoid a very awkward truth : ISIS needs to be confronted due to their abhorrant and inhumane behaviour.

Fine....go confront them. But I don't think its going to be an easy sell to the US population for the US to confront them. We're dropping out of the "World Police" role we've had to fill for the last 70 years. Its time some slackers grew a pair and stepped up to the plate.

Well........Many of these guys are Iraq soldiers and the vacuum of power did cause the rise to some degree. The west creates enemies and than slowly over time using propaganda and fear get the justification needed for war. This is not a new game and has played out many times in the past. Eisenhower warned us about the military industrial complex and he was right on the money. War is an industry now.



Radical religious nut jobs play the bad guy parts perfectly. They are easy to hate and justification is very easy to sell to the fearful masses. War is business and business is good these days.
