AMAZING I think.

Great casting, great story, budget is pretty high.

Killjoys on IMDB

In the Quad, a planetary system on the brink of a bloody interplanetary class war, a fun loving trio of bounty hunters attempt to remain impartial as they chase deadly warrants.

"Defiance" - A space opera with a great cast and a great story.
"Killjoys" - A great cast, great storyline, and my wife's favorite.
"Dark Matter" - A surprising storyline (they has space zombies two weeks ago) and great writing.

My sci-fi Friday lineup!

Yep! I love the Datak play on Friday. That had both my husband and I chuckling.

The only downside is that we have to wait to start watching until after the little guy goes to bed, so Friday nights are late ones.

This line-up has me really excited about the possibilities of The Expanse this winter.

Scifi network.

Though you could probably Hulu them if you don't have it.

I'm so glad Datak survived. His wife is my wife's favorite character on television.

I've never seen a more evil woman in all my life!

Scifi network.

I have SciFi on my cable plan, so that's no problem....

lately, though, I'm finding that watching (binge-watching) older shows (that I never watched; not much of a prime-time TV viewer) on Netflix is FAR more enjoyable. NO COMMERCIALS!! Yay!!

I stand corrected. As a luddite, I simply assumed that one could do such.

I was wrong.

Agreed all around.

I'm happy that there's this new breed of scifi shows coming out in the last few years.

Although I'm sad they only renewed one of my favs for a last 6 episode stint.

Continuum.

Was pretty awesome.

One thing I hate about certain shows: getting canceled or not renewed!

When they did it with Firefly and Stargate: Universe, I was like, "aawwwwww! Come on now!"

I understand what they did with BSG. It had a beginning, middle and end. The remake of the show was designed around that. A full story that they got to tell.

But the others, like Ascension.....It was like: But wait! You didn't answer these questions!

So far I'm liking Killjoys, Dark Matter and for the most part enjoy Defiance.....because of that, y'all should be worried since it seems they end up shutting down shows I like!

There was a CCG (collectible card game) Mr. Ketsuko played competitively for a while through college and for a years after. It was a pseudo-Asian thing and Datak and his wife remind us of some characters out of there. His wife is like Bayushi Kachiko in so many ways.
