I searched for the thread stating ATS policy related to the question I am about to ask, and it brought up the thread “**ATTENTION ALL MEMBERS:** We don’t like Hitler at ATS, not even a little bit.”

The last post on the thread was in 2012, but the only option at this point in time is to link to it:

www.abovetopsecret.com...

Now, to state why I have to ask:

I was just reading a thread when I came to the “~” sign next to a poster, indicating the poster was banned.

Astonished, I checked out threads by the poster.

The only thing I can find as a possible explanation is the word “Hitler.”

Is the word “Hitler” prohibited on ATS?

Most likely the post that banned it is in a trashed thread you cannot access

This ^^

It's fairly common sense, as are most rules on ATS, Hitler can be discussed but if you start supporting or defending his actions/policies then expect to get your posts deleted. It is a privately owned site dependent on ad revenue so I completely understand. If I owned ATS then I wouldn't have any pro-Hitler debates polluting my server space.

Regarding being banned though, that's common sense as well, think of it as being in the pub, if you wind the bouncers/door staff up enough then expect to be kicked out at some point.

Hitler is still not liked around here and although the last post was 2012 it's certainly not the last time that thread was highlighted by a member of staff...

Last month was a busy one for Hitler worship.

I'm sure those members are fitting in nicely over on StormFront.

This does not, as far as I've seen, mean that every post involving the word Hitler or Nazi has to be "evil" "tyrant" "scum" etc

Some are very informative history posts or comparisons to this day and age, or warning signs...

Just don't laud the POS as some kind of saviour and you can say whatever you like about Hitler.

I occasionally sign up and disagree with stuff (everything) over there via a proxy server, bans are swift.
The opinions never fail to disgust me, and I feel rather unclean after my activities there until the inevitable ban, but it is good to know thine enemy.

Why an ATS member is banned is not open to public discussion here on ATS.

That is between the member that was banned and Staff.

To answer your question, any promoting of Hitler, or Nazism or anything of the sort, is a one way ticket to the ban hammer.

This doesn't mean that happened to the member in question, as has been pointed out, we don't discuss members on the boards.

But otherwise, you can certainly be comforted in the fact that any pro Hitler, holocaust etc sorta stuff is going to be removed with extreme prejudice.

Since the matter has been answered, thread closed.

And don't forget that some people get banned for posts they have written on somebody else's threads.

Haha I have often pondered doing that just to troll the living s# out of them.

I still might, but I don't trust their anonymous connections not to spread my personal info about.

If I couldn't be traced to ATS I'd have done it long ago.
