Hall of Fame wrestler Hulk Hogan is out at World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) after an audio recording featuring the wrestler using racist language was heard by WWE officials. "I guess we're all a little racist," Hogan reportedly says on the tape, before repeating the n-word in an overtly racist and inflammatory fashion.

the wwe said

WWE has terminated its contract with Terry Bollea (aka Hulk Hogan). WWE is committed to embracing and celebrating individuals from all backgrounds as demonstrated by the diversity of our employees, performers and fans worldwide.

hogan says they were like 8 years ago

i honestly dont care that much about this.
i always find the backlash interesting though

the wwe pulled his bio from the hall of fame page. they have pulled all his merchandise from the wwe shop. they pulled him as a judge from some show.

now of course he is apologizing all over the place.

do people really care? Or, rather, are people going to concern themselves with private comments? Or do we reward violations of privacy by giving them audience?

These comments were taken from a sex tape that Hogan is currently in a lawsuit over. He did not authorize their release, they are private moments.

If any of us enjoy the notion of privacy, the best thing you can do is ignore any of this nonsense. I mean, if you need a tape like this to tell you that Hogan is a slimeball, you just aren't paying attention. But even more slimey than Hogan: the asshole who leaked his private moments.

Doesn't he qualify for Medicare now? If not, he's pretty darn close.

No idea. I read the article down to this point:

The comments were discovered on the same sex tape over which Hogan is poised to go to trial with Gawker Media, which posted excerpts of the tape in 2012. The Enquirer reports that the conversation between Hogan and Heather Clem, wife of former friend and radio host Bubba the Love Sponge Clem, was recorded on the same tape, which remains sealed in a Florida court.

and decided it was none of my business.

I read the whole thing and it didn't say. It makes a difference imo. If he just said something about Blacks( I won't use the N word) then that's understandable. Some get caught up in conversation. I was down home last week and my nephews were going on WAY worse than that. If he said, "Kill Blacks", that's a different story.

Yeah, if my private conversations with my husband were being recorded, I'd be pretty upset. It's not like he was saying this stuff in a public place.

WWE can do whatever they like (or whatever they think will make them money), but whoever leaked this is pretty low. It may be his former friend, whose wife Hulk was sleeping with.

Can't he sue them for leaking this information? I really don't care what he said, the term no longer bothers me. I find it crazy that they will destroy your entire history over one word.

I won't post the comments here. It doesn't matter what he said, IMO, as long as he's not threatening someone or otherwise dangerous.

Thank you. I see no problem with that in private. It's a highly emotional issue for him with his daughter. Take the F word out and is it any worse than what Trump said about Mexicans.... on the record?

I agree on all points. Hogan is a slime ball so is the person that leaked the video... neither of which are WWE's fault. They have to make the choice on whether to act on the knowledge that Hogan is a racist, or not. The smart thing was to terminate his contract.

Its only smart if you are wanting to make money. And Vince McMahon would dance on a pole if it would pay him money.

I don't even like WWE, I think it's cheap knock off of soap operas... but were I them, even if I didn't actually care if he used the N word, I'd cut the liability and make a feel good statement hoping to draw more people in. That's Capitalism.

OK im not taking the piss but asking for information, I understand when you use the N word to a black person its bad, but what about calling some one from ME a sand N, or what the British army called people from northern Ireland, white N. What im asking is the N word only so massively offensive when used about a black person. People can also PM me if they feel easier about answering

Racial epithets are racial epithets.

That is like asking, "I means, its ok to tell an Afghan woman she is fat because she is wearing all that clothing, right?"

Inventing imaginary lines to blur doesn't change anything.
