Condemnation Jury

I didn't know where to put this, so here it is.

I just got a jury summons for a Condemnation Jury. My first thought was that I'd be serving on a jury that would be sentencing someone already found guilty. A very hasty Google search indicates that it's something entirely different. From what I gather, the jury is about determining the value of something, like property seized or destroyed. Can anyone give me an idea of what to expect here?

I thought it was kind of odd that I get the summons on Jul 24 and I need to appear on July 28. That seems like a pretty quick time frame to me.
