5,000 nude anti-LGBT protesters to greet Obama in Kenya

Now I find this to be crazy. Will the madness ever stop?

When President Barack Obama visits Kenya on Friday, he’ll be greeted by thousands of naked anti-LGBT protesters, some of which are promising to urinate all over a tree he helped plant during a visit in 2006.

In the letter, the group says its “main objective is for (Obama) to see and understand the difference between a man and a woman.”

I realize a lot of people do not agree with homosexuality and neither do I, but I think the people in Kenya might be taking this a little to far. I don't see how getting naked and pissing on a tree is going to change anyone's mind about the issue, but I guess these guys think otherwise.

You don't "agree" with it? There's nothing to agree or disagree with. It exists. Do you mean you don't "approve" of it?

To answer your question, I think it goes without saying that it's "over the top". It's "out of the realm in sanity", IMO.

My bad, I thought I had the link in there. Yeah, I don't approve of the life style, but that's just me. This type of behaviour that the Kenyans plan on doing is just ridiculous, regardless if one approves or disapproves.

I'm not sure it is crazy.

They have a right to express their feelings.

However, I would guess they will all be arrested for indecent exposure,
not the protest.

A very interesting way of trying to get their point across.

Sounds peaceful.

Rather I approve or not, makes absolutely no difference.

It is a creative way of expressing how they feel about the subject,
and peaceful too. I don't have a problem with it, nor do I think
they are crazy, rather creative if you ask me.

Well, no one can say they aren't serious about their ideals.

I as wondering about the nudity, but it does say they want to show him the physical differences. Should be quite a spectacle.

Well, they won't have to worry about being strip searched to see the president. The lines should be short and quick.

Hopefully some really big old people with sags all over don't cause our president to go blind. Oh that's right he has always been sort of blind to reality.

This event should attract lots of the people it is protesting, they will have their own naked section there. I can see the war, guys with clubs attacking other guys with clubs.

Is protesting nude even legal in Kenya ?

I think Kenya is somewhere around 80% Christian, with an increasing Muslim presence as well. Both of these "faiths" are vehemently opposed to LGBT. So the protest doesn't come as a surprise, really. However, the nude part is a bit...different. Though this is the same area that stones, and/or burns witches alive. So anything is possible.

That could get quite ugly. I'm thinking a lot more than 5000 protesters may show up for this event. Though they may not all be in their birthday suits.
