I Predict A RIAT- The photo thread

Sorry about the awful pun, once I'd seen it, I had to use it as its one of my favourite tracks. Anyhow, here is the RIAT photo thread. Anyone who wants to share images is welcome to.

I'll start the ball rolling with some random images I lifted when copying my memory cards, so they are from different points in the show. Feel free to add more as and when you want. I will.

Here is the A400M leaving after the show, with the sun glinting off the props

Sounds like our trip. I've posted a bunch of pictures and haven't even scratched the surface of what we have.

I use photobucket and copy and paste the image tags that it gives you

Thanks. It's a Canon EOS60D and Tamron SP 70-300 VC lens (a cheapie, but actually better than the Canon equivalent, I can't afford the L series stuff)

I know what you mean, according to Lightroom there are over 4500 shots in my RIAT folder. Crikey.

A highlight for me was the ability to see, for the first time, a MiG 29. This example from the Polish Air Force is painted in honour of Wing Commander Marian Pisarek (1919-42), a portrait of whom can be seen on the inside of the fin;

I like the light grey star n bar on the dark background. Dunno why though

It's tricky trying to get a sharp shot while showing rotor movement, but I think it came out OK

Ok zaph pointed me the right direction to get here. I'm out at the minute but in due time I'll get some of mine posted. Nice pics on here already! Awesome

Yeah, our base hopping trip got a few lucky pics. My DSLR doesn't have the best distance lens yet, but his had a great zoom. He got a great shot of a Pavehawk coming home, and we both got some shots of an F-35 coming home with nose gear doors hanging open.

Lucky you. All mine are set to Ridiculous Size and are far too large to post, so I have to resize, upload, rinse/repeat.

I'm sorry but that Viper paint is hideous. Ha.
