Think you've got it bad? Sewers of Bogota

I have watched a few films about people who,by the roll of the dice of fate have ended up living underground in nasty conditions.
Not surprisingly,many such people are drug addicts-its the only "good"feeling they can experience in their world of darkness and horror.
Some live under the streets of New York.
Some live in storm drains under the Los Angeles strip.
Some are heroin addicted aids infected orphans who live under the streets of Romania.

But I have never seen such horror as these people who live in the sewers of Bogota,Columbia.
Not only do they live and survive knee deep in human waste,they are also hunted by unofficial death squads,whose aim is "social cleansing."

Social cleansing in this case invloves hunting and shooting or stabbing these homeless people to death.
Or failing that,gasoline is poured into the sewers to burn them to death.
Children included.

Watch this 25 minute film on the subject if you can stomach it,and be thankful that whatever is pissing you off with your life,its nowhere near what these people live through:

a reply to: Silcone Synapse I have seen this. Not as bad but sort of reminds me of SF Church Drops Water on Homeless all night long. They stopped the practice after public outcry.

Social cleansing, sanctioned murder, pretty much one & the same.

The mentality they must have to justify actions like that..what a terrible fate some people have..although I'm not surprised at all unfortunately

It certainly does put things in perspective.
That couple who lived knee deep in garbage with their dogs-and the woman was pregnant.

And the guy who described seeing screaming kids emerging from the sewer with their clothes on fire after being set alight with gasoline...
It takes a special kind of evil to do that to kids.
Sick.
