Hundreds of protesters, activists arrive at Statehouse

Protesters and activists have begun arriving today at planned rallies at the statehouse in S Carolina. Two separate groups have applied and granted permission for the days rally.

There are two opposing groups that will be occupying and holding the rally in support of the flag,(this group in my opinion doesn't represent the flag) and the other in opposition to it.

A memo from the chief of police in Columbia to the city manager indicates that law enforcement expects to be busy keeping the peace in the city Saturday as hundreds of people assemble to support different points of view.

There wasnt enough outrage at the shootings so they had to stir something to get people riled up.......

For all those claiming this has nothing to do with racism, and that the flag is not offensive or bigoted...

3:45 p.m.: Various scuffles breaking out; two people taken away by police.

I could think of a number of national issues that are more worthy of a protest rather than a flag. It goes to show you that issues that directly affect people everyday are on the bottom of the priority lists of Americans.

Might be some KKK lynched.......

Looking at this protest proves the point the right decision was made in removing the Confederate Flag.

Sometimes you just don't do yourself a favor by making a public spectacle.

Agreed, I really didn't care before but I am glad it is gone after that ...ummm....yeah spectacle.

both groups are little more than opportunists, obviously continuing with the assault upon America...the flag is just an excuse to go but not the reason.

they were all going to be out protesting about something, anything at this point, as both groups falsely believe they are entitled to something special in this land and neither are.

The KKK should bleach all those unused confederate flags
and make hooded robes outta them.

All those points of view were given by the State House (The Law Givers) and all that don't think they are responsible like Corporations, Media Entrainment, Religion, Monetary institutions, and His-story rather than truth.

Its no wonder I cannot get along with anyone.

And it should come as no surprise that at this point in time that the New Black Panthers and the Ku Klux Klan find themselves in the same place at the same time...equally irrelevant.

They have finally arrived.

What chance does the flag have when protesters are called educators, civil rights activists and concerned citizens when the sole representatives of the Confederate battle flag are the Ku Klutz Klowns?

Thanks for destroying any chance KKK, your presence just convinced many that the current claims are true.
Those dead Confederate soldiers deserve better representation than that.
