Seems to me that if there is a huge quake and millions perish it will be argued that the christians who have been killed by it have actualy been taken to heaven in the rapture, so if there is no quake yet the date will just be moved again until they get a lucky hit or near hit, some believe so completely in the rapture as if it was gospel truth when in fact it is a fairly modern addition to christian beliefs. In my opinion This subversive and deliberate addition, adaptation and creation of religious dogma is purposefully designed to smother the true simple message of christianity, wich is love, compassion, consideration and empathy. And if we all stopped concentrating on our fear of apocalyptic disasters and end times obsessions we might find some time to practice our more positive human qualities. Choose to walk in the light of love or choose to stumble through the darkness of fear

Ever been in a 6.8 magnitude or higher earthquake?
Nothing is ridiculous and everything should be considered, IMHO.

Your considering this?......seriously?

God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them. 17 This is how love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment: In this world we are like Jesus. 18 There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.
1 John 4:16-18

I don't want judgment day to come, but neither do I fear it. Whatever happens to me here, God has my back. There is nothing to fear. This is only the world. The worst that can happen to me is to lose my body ... oh, well, it's getting old, and I live with chronic pain anyhow. My body might cease to be, but I will go on.

I look to judge the times out of worry for those around me, the people I love who maybe aren't as sound in their walks. Any fear I have is for them.

You and me both. If I die, I die. I do not really worry about that. It is those I leave behind that I worry for.

Just arrived and set up the tent.
It's going to be a long night.
I'm down at the bottom of the San Andrés fault line. 50' down with a rope ladder.
Let's do this!

Edit: can't believe I have service down here! Sometimes you gotta love modern society. Wait... Let's do this!

Don't you know the predictions??
It will be the New Madrid Fault, and there will be an inland sea after its over.
This is the 'after' map.

But the West coast may fall off too, so you may be in luck.

Love is lifes driving force, fear is the fog that blinds us from the way ahead, only love can carry us forward true and straight, fear will make us lost and confused without direction or purpose. a reply to: ketsuko

Wow, since we're going to be under water I'm gonna put off cleaning the bathroom!
It's already hotter than blue blazes here and the humidity is suffocating. The folks who are required to work outdoors today probably think they're already in hell!

As for the doom Porn...
You just never know.

Anything dated to exact though, is very VERY unlikely to happen.

Why is it that all of these peace-loving-forgiveful holy gods are always about death and destruction?

Why is it that in order to heal someone you sometimes have to inflict sometimes painful surgeries on them?

The difference there is that you don't have to cause mass suffering and death to entire groups of people in order to heal someone or something.
