I think I have met the reincarnation of my dead Brother.

Bit freaked out to be honest.
Okay about 3 months ago a young woman started at my place of work and we hit it off straight away and we both said to each other that we have met, after a while of asking each other where they have been and worked we knew we had never met seeing she lived in a different town I have never been to.
Anyhow for months it has been bugging me how I know her and I thought she is just like my Brother in mannerisms and just the way I feel around her feels like it did with my Brother it has been very odd.
Anyhow I asked her her birth date and it is the 6/8/93....... only the day my brother died. She laughed and has started calling me Bruv and is checking what time she was born so we can compare.
Anyhow may just be a massive coincidence but If true Im glad my Brothers spirit has found a great human being to travel that life with.

Very interesting, boymonkey. If this is true, your brother reincarnated, quickly. Then again, we know light/gravity can create time-distortions, so maybe time is different or doesn't exist in the spirit-world.

Yeah mate, I meet people all the time that I swear I've met before, yet know for a fact I haven't. I just usually put it down to a completely normal case of deja vu.

I remember when I was around 4 or 5 I flushed a live goldfish down the toilet. Years later when I was in high school I think I met the reincarnation of that goldfish, because he got revenge on me every day for 5 years by dunking my head in the toilets.

Ok I will tell a story.
I was at the mall with my girl friend, I was 18 i guess, and had been dragged around for hours shopping, my mind had slipped into that subconcious drone mode, i came around the corner of a line of clothes racks and a woman spoke, (to me i thought in drone mode), she said something about the jeans she was holding i stopped automaticaly beside her and fell into line even though my girlfriend was disapearing into the distance still talking.
the woman was telling me all about these jeans and i was like any guy at the mall, just agreeing with her, but i was stuck in some kind of wierd ass auto pilot and it was like she was too, it wasnt until i said something like they are great but i dont think they will fit me that everything kind of went out of whack, before i said that it was like i knew her she knew me but it was like i was on novacaine, after that it was like the shop filled up with people my girlfriend appeared from behind the clothes rack again and it was obvious from the look in the womans face that she didnt want to be talking about jeans to me as i guess she was feeling the same, we said an awkward goodbye.

Yes....its called human nature, associating patterns in behaviour and trying to establish some sort of link , to help make sense of the environment. Plus you have lost your brother , a traumatic event, in which you are attempting to relieve this through associating someone's personality with that of a lost 1. This belief stems from your already established belief in reincarnation, a concept much more desirable to those that lost a loved one compared to physical decomposing.

I understand your need for this thought, but please be aware there is a strong strong possibility you are a victim of human nature and cognitive processes, the same nearly all humans exhibit, it's just the interpretations of these feelings that will differ.

I think we can assume by other people's posts this is a common phenomena, often used between opposite sexes when trying to establish common ground. It is one of the most common chat uplines, a form of deceit to form a perceived bond. Like saying it was meant to be, placing the coincidence of meeting in the form of destiny. This form of trickery helps both parties open up and trust the other sooner than if this "bond" did not exist.

All I will say is you don't hear many blokes saying to each other I feel we know each other or met before as it has little benefit in terms of sexual relationships.

Just an observation. No proof or sources to be linked.

I'm assuming you already showed her a picture of your brother? If so did she think he looked familiar at all?

Did he have a family nickname you could just blurt out to see how she responded?

Was your brother afraid of any certain thing that you could compare to her phobias?

In some instances, the Soul will have an "attachment" to something/someone and when they 'Pass Over' (noBody truly 'dies') they take with them that "attachment" If You have a deep rooted 'attachment' for trying to cure Aunt Mary's psoriasis, when they 'return' (some have worked their plans to 'completion' and don't NEED to return, some enjoy the "Human Experience" and these folks do 'return'...

I've always been intrigued by this type of stuff, although I'm not an ardent believer in reincarnation, I am very interested in the possibilities of what consciousness is and where it goes or what happens to it when we die (I don't really subscribe to a "soul," but that could just be semantics).

Anyhoo, it'd be really, really cool if that were the case. I still hold out hope that I'll run into something similar with by dead grandparents--I miss them terribly, but don't know if it'll happen.

In any case, enjoy the awesome friendship--I have a female neighbor with whom I hit off an awesome friendship, and would consider her a best friend, for sure. She's a lesbian, so as with you, it's not anything more than just a really cool friendship that seems to have been going on for a lifetime. Embrace those with whom you mesh so well.

Anything arising in a human being is human nature. Why can't reincarnation be considered "human nature?" That statement sounds dismissive to me, especially considering nobody can really know what it means - not in this plane of existence anyways..

There's a book you should check out called Many Lives, Many Masters. One of the key ideas from the book is that souls reincarnate together in groups. Like in this life, my brother and I are siblings but in a past life we might have been best friends and another life he might have been my father and so on. I hope this is happening in this case for you. It can be a comfort to know our love ones live on with us literally.
