Why did God send the Israelites to kill the previous inhabitants of Isreal?

Deuteronomy 18:9-13 (truncated for space)

Do not imitate the detestable ways of the nations there. Let no one be found among you who sacrifices their son or daughter in the fire, who practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft, or casts spells, or who is a medium or spiritist or who consults the dead. Because of these same detestable practices the Lord your God will drive out those nations before you.

In regards to the sexual sin taking place in the land prior to Israel taking possession. The following verse appears after the list of sexual sin.

Leviticus 18:24

24 “‘Do not defile yourselves in any of these ways, because this is how the nations that I am going to drive out before you became defiled.

This following verse details how Israel was to deal with those who teach different Gods, only after Israel took possession of the land.

Deuteronomy 13:12-15 (Truncated)

If you hear troublemakers have arisen and have led the people of their town astray, saying, “Let us go and worship other gods” (gods you have not known), if it is true you must certainly put to the sword all who live in that town. You must destroy it completely, both its people and its livestock.

This may sound extreme, but you must realize that Moses parted the red sea. After parting the red sea he had proven to Israel that his God was real. Foreign god's must have permitted physical sin that YHWH did not, else there would be no reason to convert.

The other thing to note is these laws were very specific and were bound by Israel's borders. Israel was never told to, nor given permission to, rule anywhere outside of Israel. And they were not permitted to force the foreigner to convert. They were told to live in Israel and wait for the Christ. They were told that Christ himself would unite mankind, and declare Israel his people.

Exodus 23:31

31 “I will establish your borders from the Red Sea to the Mediterranean Sea, and from the desert to the Euphrates River.

How righteous was Israel, did they inherit the land because of their own righteousness?

Deuteronomy 9:4-6

4 After the Lord your God has driven them out before you, do not say to yourself, “The Lord has brought me here to take possession of this land because of my righteousness.” No, it is on account of the wickedness of these nations that the Lord is going to drive them out before you. 5 It is not because of your righteousness or your integrity that you are going in to take possession of their land; but on account of the wickedness of these nations, the Lord your God will drive them out before you, to accomplish what he swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. 6 Understand, then, that it is not because of your righteousness that the Lord your God is giving you this good land to possess, for you are a stiff-necked people.

What instructions were Israel given on how to live with the surrounding nations after enacting God's judgment on the previous inhabitants of Israel?

Deuteronomy 15:3-4

3 You may require payment from a foreigner, but you must cancel any debt your fellow Israelite owes you. 4 However, there need be no poor people among you, for in the land the Lord your God is giving you to possess as your inheritance, he will richly bless you,

The reason the Israelite did not have to honor the jubilee law with the foreigner, they did not convert. Once a foreigner converted he was no longer a foreigner but he would be an Israelite. The foreigner was already granted benefits from the Synagogue/(Isrealite Community) without paying the temple tax, so he had no right to the debt jubilee without converting.

YHWH had more to say on how Israel was to treat the foreigner.

Leviticus 19:33
33 “‘When a foreigner resides among you in your land, do not mistreat them. 34 The FOREIGNER residing among you MUST BE TREATED AS YOUR NATIVE-BORN. LOVE THEM AS YOURSELF, for you were foreigners in Egypt. I am the Lord your God.

Deuteronomy 10:16-19
18 He defends the cause of the fatherless and the widow, and loves the foreigner residing among you, giving them food and clothing. And you are to love those who are foreigners, for you yourselves were foreigners in Egypt.

It appears that so long as the foreigner follows the Israelite Law while in the land of Israel, they are to be treated like brothers. And the foreigner should be neither poor nor hungry.

Those who are self-righteous in the flesh and the Zionist have never treated the Foreigner the way they were commanded by Moses. They were told to Love the Foreigner not convert him. But they only accepted those who would convert and pay the temple tax. Israel will not find Peace until they learn to Love and Coexist with the Foreigner.

When Israels leaders obey their covenant they will find Peace. Rituals will not bring peace. Love the Foreigners who do not blaspheme your God, YHWH Elohim and OUR Father, Elohim.

Love the Palestinians, make Peace with them, and feed them like YHWH commanded. If you do all these things you won't need a 2 state solution.

To the Christians and Muslims, if the foreigner living among you is following your laws, you were also commanded to Love them, not convert them. None is righteous.

Doesn't the Bible teach that Israel was in the north and Judah was in the south of Palestine ? And didn't Joshua fail to conquer all the land . I think there were 3 places .

Problem. The Palestinians and the Muslims have been making war with Israel since it formed in 1948. The wall around Gaza went up because Palestinians were bombing buses and shops. Until the Palestinians sue for peace and mean it there can be no peace.

I believe originally all the land was Isreal, but the Israelites themselves separated the two.

And yes they did not destroy all the demon worshippers. Biblically speaking, demon worship continues because Isreal failed to eradicate it.

Both sides have committed much wrong. I'm not picking sides, I am just quoting the texts.

However, It remains true that Israel won't find peace until they make peace with Palestine. And offering financial support and food would go a long way as a peace offering.

If they used the money they get from the US on food, there would be no hungry in the land of Isreal.

The sad thing is every religion teaches to feed the poor, but the hungry still exist in every religion.

Everything about Isreal is so secretive. Anyone that secretive has something to hide. I am not sure what they are hiding but I don't trust them at the moment. Of course I don't trust my government in the US at the moment either.

I thought that God sent the northern tribes into captivity by Syria to punish them because they were unfaithful . They had taken up with other god's .Judah on the other hand was spared but later went into captivity by Babylon ,for not keeping the Sabbath .

I agree with most of what you say, but Israel will not find peace in the Land until the Messiah returns and gives the Land back to them. The Israelites can only inhabit the Land peacefully when they are faithful to God. For that reason, the have been dispersed since 70 AD until the Day of the Lord.

Israel didnt split into the 10 northern tribes and 2 southern tribes until Solomon died. If I remember correctly, they never took all of the Land of Canaan, because David fought on and off with the Philistine giants. They won't inhabit all of the Land until Jesus returns.

Yes, I was simplifying it. At the time worshipping other God's meant demon worship, which is confirmed in the NT.

1 Corinthians 10:20 No, but the sacrifices of pagans are offered to demons, not to God, and I do not want you to be participants with demons.

I agree. But I also see the signs of the times. So it is probably a good idea for the Jews to start obeying Moses. In 3500 years they have managed to obey only a small fraction of the time.

I believe in the God of Israel. That is the Creator of all things visible and invisible. I would love to have seen the Angels when they walked out of Abrahams tent. What did they look like? They were very handsome. Lot took therm into his house to protect them. Tkey used advanced technology to blind the gay crowd. Id love to see what they had that flashed so bright. Did they step out of a space ship before entering Abrahams tent?

This is true, but the Jews are also blinded until the time of their deliverance. Until they recognize that Jesus is the Messiah and that He died a payment for our sins, they will remain dispersed. The truth is, there are more Jews in Chile than there are in Israel. Today's Israel is the product of human globalist diplomacy. It is not the direcy will of God, but His permissive will.

The nation of Israel is the descendants of Jacobs(later named Israel) 12 sons.They entered “the promised land” about 1422 BCE and they split in the reign of Solomon’s son Rehoboam in about 900 BCE into 2 nations.The Northern kingdom of Israel and the Southern kingdom of Judah.The Northern kingdom was Israel because it was lead by the tribe of Ephraim(the 11th son of Israel Joseph’s youngest son) which Jacob passed the 1st born birthright to.

Judah has not been a part of the nation of Israel since then(for 3,000 years) and have no legal claim to the lands of Israel under that auspice.They are not Israelites they are Judeans.

The prophecies that Christianity believe about Israel are false.The nation of Israel “was”(the nation of Israel is no more and will never be again) the archetype of ALL of mankind which means ALL of mankind are the creator God’s people not the self chosen elitist(Jews and now Christians) that make void the living word of the creator God by their false traditions of men.

The reason mankind cannot get along is because of their nature of “religion”(sin..missing the mark of maturity) that separates them.Mankind will never come together under the tent of any religion because ALL religion is sin.
