So they have a name for contrails and NO NAME for the trail left by dumping chemicals(crop, warfare etc.)? There is no name for that trail? Or do I need to also stop using the term "contrail" and start writing: a trail of condensed water from an aircraft or rocket at high altitude, seen as a white streak against the sky. ??

At the risk of getting in trouble again, if a cow is walking and he farts a good long ripper, he is leaving a chemtrail. Mostly methane. So yes, chemtrails exist. And if we want to call everything with a chemical in it a chemtrail, then the stream of H2O that flows from your faucet is a chemtrail. The stream of urine that emanates from your private parts and flow into the toilet is a chemtrail. Are we advancing this topic in a positive direction yet?

When there is a lot of chemtrail activity, you can see an entire blue sky eventually be covered by criss criossing chemtrails.

Well of course you didn't see any of them near an airport...they are from overflights originating and ending at airports nowhere near you.

Of course there is pollution from jets - and that pollution is there whether they are making a contrail or not.

moreover the pollution is much greater at sground level - engines develop their maximum power at takeoff and climb because they burn more fuel at those stages of flight.

So the pollution from jet exhaust is at its worst at and around airfields as aircraft are taking off.

and you can't see it unless it is a smoky engine.

The pollution from jets flying in cruise is much less - as little as 20% of that generated at takeoff - because jet engines are only developing a fraction of their power at high altitude, and so are only burning a fraction of their maximum fuel burn.

The pollution at altitude may well be more important to greenhouse warming than that at lower altitude because it is generated straight into a relatively sensitive part of the atmosphere.....but there is a great deal more ground level pollution from fuel burned by automobiles than by aircraft of all types and sizes.
