Conceptually Western and Eastern neglects more than half the world, implies Euro ethnocentrism.
East and West came from Africa and wound up in the Americas.
As far as doing well to learn more, I leave that to my esteemed critics ; )
I'm trying to unlearn as much as possible and am not all that important at any rate.

God is the source of Magic, Magic is a path to God, Our ultimate destiny is God. So we are all magicians.
Some are trying to get further away from god so their magic is black, and others are indifferent or asleep.
And a few....
are trying to follow the way of ecstasy and the infinite.

Looking at his points on the definition of magic still looks like an attempt at a spiritual mind set rather then actually explaining or exploring magic. Although spirituality has always been viewed as something belonging to the paranormal realm, albeit trying to find a normal fitting in the world, without any mathematics or solid explanations other then psychology of uplifting a guilty conscious.

Can Crowley do a magic trick that would be have been believed to have been paranormal, yet give solid assumptions or numbers to explain how it works the way it is to be repeated again and again, and still seem that magical.

If you do the research you will know there are many examples.
For instance a historical example from the Wounded Knee Massacre.
There was a man that had a rifle ball pass through a limb leaving a round hole.
A healer took a twig and passed it through the hole.
The twig leaved out, bloomed, and formed a plum the same size as the hole.
When the plumb was drawn back through the wound after it came out there was no sign that there ever had been an injury.
If you are just practising your ability to sceptical or your argumentative skills,
then you will never learn more till you accept a wider view of the universe and the forces at play.
It's not really magic, but soul power.
Magic is just a term that is used.

Page 50:"The Book of the Law" 1938 edition OTO London.
THE COMMENT:
"Do what thou will shall be the whole of the law.
The study of this Book is forbidden. It is wise to destroy this copy after the first reading.
Whosoever disregards this does so at his own risk and peril. These are most dire.
Those who discuss the contents of this Book are to be shunned by all, as centres of pestilence. All question of the Law are to be decided only by appeal of my writings, each for himself. There is no law beyond Do What Thou Wilt . Love is the Law, love under will".
The priest of the princes;
ANKH-F-N-KNONSU (liber AL).
