I think the White Flag idea is the best one. After all it is the surrender flag and that is what we are doing as a nation. Surrendering to every
politically correct notion the liberals can dream up. Liberals are taking advantage of the silent majority in this country who are busy building
businesses, paying taxes, supporting their families. Meanwhile the liberal left are busy trying to make a federal issue out of any and all PC garbage
they can come up with in order to get hard working families to pay their bills.
The call for reparations for slavery is not dead in this country and it will come up again soon. Too many black people in this country feel an
entitlement even though their lives are far far better than anything their ancestors had to endure, whether they were slaves or not. And they are
telling people like me, whose ancestors were as poor as anyone and never dreamed of owning slaves for all the right reasons, to pay the bill. I
simply won't do it. If my taxes ever go up for the purpose of paying reparations I will find a way to get it back. And I will begin a scathing
campaign against any politician that supports such nonsense.
If I had the skills I would write a book on the history of slavery, pointing out that blacks in Africa were just as guilty in the slave trade as any
White person. And that blacks enslave other blacks to this day in diamond mines in Africa. And every country that ever was participated in slavery
at one time or another and that the victims of slavery were not restricted to blacks. White people were enslaved in Europe for hundreds of years in
the middle ages. And probably still are in some countries.
Less than 5% of southerns owned slaves. Only the very wealthy. When I think of the south in the 1700's I mostly think of poor farmers and not the
big plantation owners. If the south is such a bad place in the 21st Century why do so many blacks still live there? Especially in this day and age
where we are such a mobile society? Of course that is an easy one....they live there because they like it there just as most people like where they
live. Opportunity drives where people put down their roots these days and while there certainly is still racism it is not nearly as prevalent as is
portrayed. Many blacks, who oddly have been able to prosper and succeed in their careers are starting to see this. It seems many are starting to
take offense at the portrayal of oppression and are starting to speak out. We have a black president for God's sake. Black Supreme court justices,
members of Congress. There are no restrictions if you want to do the hard work to prosper no matter what skin color you have. Find the right path
for you that will get you there, whether it is the military, community college, trade school, scholarships, and more other ways I can mention here and
take it. There is no secret formula.
