Bitcoin Up by 10%

Despite the exuberance in US and European equity markets, it appears Bitcoin is sending a different (avoid the looming capital controls) message... Does someone know something?

What does everyone else think? Do you think the upward trend in Bitcoin is a sign that other markets are on their way down?

but its about 200 dollars less than it was back when i was making money off it....you could buy bitcoins for about 350 and sell them for 400 almost every day...it was amazing...i eventually got out after it went up to 500....

so ya its up 10% but its still 50 bucks less than what it used to be on average about a year or so ago. i liked it better when it was all over the place.

Ugh... don't get me excited. I've already paid my dues to the hype and lost money on BTC. I still think I have some crypto stocks laying around though. This could very well be another last ditch pump and dump by the residual whales in the ocean thanks to the various economic travesties going on. The laymen won't know what hit 'em.

It's gonna be on an upward trend for the next ten years at least. Get on board people. It's decentralized, it's out of the banks hands, it's a tool to help us keep our financial freedom intact.

.... way to deny ignorance mate. ... I guess keeping your inflationary fiat in the trustworthy hands of the banks is the way forward.
It's not fairy magic, it's math. If you did your due diligence on this emerging technology, you'd be impressed. So would the Greeks. Oh well, such is life.

Oh I know it well and at this point its just hacker currency friend, It's entire concept is based on the flawed notion that humans would prefer a technological alternative free of control. Yet when the very technology it is based on is corrupted and controlled by those who you claim we will all be free from, then it's really just an alternative form of financial slavery. The simple truth is, and has been proven repeatedly for this currency, it is easier to steal millions in bitcoins then it is to steal millions in gold or traditional currency.

Haha. It's certainly on the up today! I guess I'm not the only one scared of capital controls, banks, criminal atm fees, the tax department , pathetic limits on eftpos.... And oh, did I mention banks?.... God I hate them. .... Invest in shares perhaps?.... They all seem to count on unsustainable growth.... Except for shares in weapons manufacturers. But what kind of maggot would invest in warfare?? Not I said the spider to the fly.... KEEP GOING BITCOIN! Save me from this life of debt.

while bitcoin is better than your average currency, any currency is worthless if you can't buy your next meal with it.

Just sayin'

Well I can pay ALL my bills with it through a number of gateways, I can by a coffee and a sandwich with it at a few cafes and SWIM with a medical certificate buys weed with it occasionally and gives huge props to the quality... Not to mention the convenience.
Electronic goods are easily purchased with BTC online as well.... It's just the groceries that are still out of reach... Organic food stores and BTC are a match made in heaven but alas the proprietors of these establishments just aren't keeping up with the times.

PS: BTC smashed through $300 today.

If it all does fall over, good luck going to your local food merchant and trading a fantasy like internet driven 'bitcoin' for water and flour.

thats if there are any bitcoins left but, i mean.. its been dead simple for people to steal millions of them lately.. what makes yours so secure? your arrogant opinion of it?

LOL ...sssshhhhh....now is the time to buy buy buy.......

On a side note i live in a small country town and the atm's all went down at once last week, there was literally no way to use a card, the only form of currency still working was cash and very few people had some on hand to pay for fuel food etc...it was quite eye opening and entertaining to a degree watching the chaos unfold, there were some very cranky people getting around
