I just saw this and I have to agree Americans are idiots ? My God I mean what happened to originality ? Many people will remember this public service announcement from the US government in the 80s .


As a reference point I introduce the egg .......

The thing that has always concerned me about this sort of public service announcement, is that they singularly fail to offer any reasonable degree of data on the subject they are discussing. All they do, is make one hungry, and more likely to seek out fried produce.

Yes they were silly. What I think is even sillier is it's the exact same concept 35 years later . Hell everyone made fun of the commercial back in the 80's I think the term getting Fried even came from that commercial .

But I don't think the second one will be around too long. I'm sure a Muslim or jewish person will find the bacon offensive and they will be forced to remove it .

I don't get the outrage, sorry.

I do have a hankering for a pile of bacon now. I have 2 packs of those Holy Strips in the fridge, I might be able to get away with eating one of them...maybe.

I can see that happening. I'm surprised that Kevin Bacon isn't being hounded into changing his last name, or that he doesn't have a price on his head because of it.

It was mock outrage and it was intended because of the commercials sharing the almost exact same style .
