It's All Part Of God's Plan

I guess this just goes to show how wonderful and loving the God who rules your particular religion of choice is. God has a reasons for everything, as some say.....

Regarding the Tsunami:

I have a serious question for the Christians of the board though. What do you personally think those people did to deserve the death of 23-24 thousand? Were they mean spirited? All of them? Millions homeless! What is God trying to tell us all? Were they supposed to build an ark? God loves us all so much. He is all knowing. He is all powerful. He is such a nice guy it seams. I mean...who wouldn't want to have to clean up thousands of bodies.....with no where to put them???? The stink must be lovely. Thanks God!

Just another example of the mental breakdown that is religion. The mental illness as someone else put it on this board.

I'm not Christian but I do know that this has nothing to do with any "god" it is the earth releasing pressure and adjusting herself plain and simple.....why does it always have to be a god behind everything that happens?:bnghd:

Why is it all non-Christians (not sure what i come under) put the same arguement across over, over, over and over again? If gods such a nice guy why are there diseases, wars ect... Why don't you do a little bit of thinking and reading and you shall all find out! There's a book, infact its the most read book in the world its called the Bible or sometimes The Holy Bible not holly bible or holey bible. REad that and it should anwser you're questions.

I went to the bible looking for answers. Here is what I have found so far. The bible says the earth is flat and square. So, tidal waves are particularly deadly because you cant really find high ground.

Oh no i don't claim to be wise nor do i claim to be the authoroty on the bible but i have had questions on this subject answered by the bible.

So seaperson what do you have against people who post politely on you're thread with their oppinions and advice?

Nothing personal bucko. I have things against an entire culture of people who subscribe to a mental illness, and then defend themselves with a book that makes no sense.

For instance.....and refer to the bible to answer this. Is sin carried from generation to generation (IE from Adam and Eve), or is it not, thus negating original sin and the need for Jesus? Please, go look into your bible...and give me ONE answer.

This i would do but like i said im between relgions at the moment and er misplaced my bible. No im not joking i got one but i don't know where.

I can't see as it would be carried through genetion to generation so whats the questions you're dad could be Hitler it doesn't mean that you must be a bad person. I think i have missed somthing here? Any half wit can work that out so please ask the question again in lamens terms.

Seapeople, are you taking your meds??? I have to agree with LadyV here. It's called Mother Nature. You see, an earthquake happens under the ocean and sends out shock waves. Shock waves create tidal waves. The bigger the earthquake, the bigger the waves. You should have listened up a little better in geology class. God had nothing to do with it. If I am wrong and God did have something to do with it, then I'm sure God was tired of seeing all those old crusty dudes running around in Speedos making everyone on the beach wretch.
Stop blaming God for everything bad that happens! God doesn't have vendettas. God is in your heart and he/she is reflected in the way you treat others and conduct your life.

Oh, and just for some backround on this post....giving you an idea as to why I am bitter:

I actually had a pentecostal born again moron and her entire family tell me in all seriousness that it is because of the "stupid indian religions and false gods" that this happened. I love how Christians are so eager to pass judgement on good people. You pray for God to protect you, and your loved ones I am sure. And when they are safe, you say thank you God. When they are hurt though....it was all part of his masterful plans that something terrible happened. He heard your prayer....and answered it....just not the way you wanted him to.

I had a talk with some woman pastor out of Harrisburg PA on christmas. She was trying to convert me I presume. Then she went into my fiances parents kitchen, and proceeded to say in such a lovely way:

"he is into that whole...questioning things because of science deal"

I can just see the hand movements making quotes when she said it (in my mind). And I could feel her hatred. I love it! Continue judging all you strong christians. Continue Judging.

Yes there is...but the current bible is an abridged version. There have been close to fifty different versions of the bible and it has been added to, taken from and whole parts that were with the original scrolls completely omitted all together! All this and then there are so many translation errors it's ridiculous! NO...it does not answer my questions.

Wow, you are all really slow today. I WAS BEING SARCASIC. I hate when I have to walk people through things (actually I love it...but hey). I don't blame a god for anything. I honestly believe that there must be life outside of this tiny planet. As far as aliens visiting earth....I am not convinced of that by any means.

Jesus, died on the cross to save us from original sin...so we can go to heaven. We are all born with original sin...according to the bible. Thats why Jesus came. Just so everyone knows...it says in at least three locations in the bible, that sin is not carried. Is that a dilemma or a paradox?

What if we stop blameing god and start blaming the devil?

How can we rule out the possiblity that he did it?
