Isn't it legal in some states? If so, why doesn't he just move there?

OMFG Where were you last week with this pearl of wisdom?

Except there was no wisdom in that it isn't legal anywhere in the United States.

The poster was being sarcastic.

Bigamy is illegal in the U.S.

See? This is the difference. Being gay isn't illegal. This will go nowhere.

Here's what is interesting about this issue.

Marriage via the state is a formal corporation, when two people marry. Corporations typically can have more then two people involved, so if they go at it from this angle they may have a shot.

Bigamy is only illegal because the laws are ancient christian laws, many are being over-turned these days.

Yes, Christianity strongly affected our laws --- even though we are a secular government. If we truly supported Freedom of Religion, Mormons should never have had to give up polygamy. The arguments against it are as disturbing as the arguments against race and sexuality.

Anyone ever ask why states have marriage rights? It's totally for discrimination purposes. In the early formation years of towns/cities they had the right to deny any undesirabkes from being a part of their community.
