Recent Terrorism Alert in Indonesia and Quake: Any Connection?

What? Nobody has blamed this on the US yet? Im sure its comming....

I don't think they're connected, not really...then again, in this day and age, just about anything is possible.

Hmm, in a new view of the seismo, there does seem to be a large, uncharacteristic spike at the beginning of the graph in the top window situated in the photo, but the guy's hand still covers it up a bit...

The cause of earthquakes are not unknown. They are largely caused by sudden movement along fault lines.

What is the cause of the sudden movements?

lol, well I WAS about to post a thread to take bets on how long it will be before someone starts up with the "Oh, it was HAARP" or a terrorist related theory, something involving aliens or some extremist christian claiming it was god laying down his justice to the evil doers but it looks like I was too slow.

There's no nuke in the world that could cause a 9.0 earthquake. 9.0 is HUGE. I heard reports the earths crust moved a good 30metres of so (don't hold me to that one though...you know how sensationalistic the media can get sometimes). No nuke could do that.

Also there are plenty of stations aroud the world monitoring any possible nuclear threat, the signature from an explosion that large would be painfully obvious and we would have some loopy militant parading around on tape already praising his god and talking himself up.

There are two things I wonder about though.

1)What's the surf like in Northern Australia at the mo? Must be some awesome waves

2) Why are they plastering pics of the thousands of dead bodies, women, children, babies etc all over the tv...but I've never seen pics of the hundreds that have died in iraq on the news? I've only reports of the devastation over there.

I could also say the same for the wtc, but then again, there wouldn't really be much left after a coupla thousand tons of cement collapse on someone

I'm also suprised there hasn't been a moral outrage by a bunch of do gooders that don't like seeing dead babies lined up on street corners all over the news....or maybe that will come later along with the Haarp conspiracy theorists......

If the stupid civil. shrink hadn't told the defence force i was "too quiet" for the reserves I would either be on a plane right now or already over in south-east asia lending a hand. I can't even begin to imagine the horror of it all....it's hard to comprehend that many people being wiped out in one go and the size of the cleanup operation to get everyone back on their feet.
