And it's my freedom and everyone's else to call anyone out on hateful speech and call them a Bigot..

infolurker
Next step, litigation, thought crimes, and hate speech.

i was just saying that people under the Bible have been using Hate speech on us for centuries...

Why would i support incestuous Relationships?

because it doesn't affect me, and if you want to marry your sibling go ahead it doesn't alter my life in the slightest.. people use to marry first cousins before

It has nothing to do with the right to perform Sodomy because straight people also engage in that sexual act... it is the right to Marry

I apologise, I got a sense of disgust from your wording and retaliated.

I would think the LGBT community should be helping other minorities to get marriage equality, or had this all just been about them?

I know you are trying to be clever but, really, you're just digging up the same argument they used when they were trying to keep interracial marriage illegal.

Any marriage between consenting adults is something I wouldn't stand in the way of. In the specific case of incest, offspring would have to be a factor, of course.

I wouldn't be surprised if I'm the grumpy old lady 50 years from now shaking my head at what families have become with group marriages and whatnot. But you know what? I'll step aside because I'll know it's not the world I'm inheriting so I'm not going to crap all over the younger generations just so I can go out with a spiteful smirk.

Sorry, I am not trying to insult you at all or wish you any misfortune.

I am simply stating that "your cause of equality" is and will be used as a hammer against Religious liberty and the 1st amendment.

What may have started out as "Tolerance" and "Equality" has now become a way to infringe on the rights of others for merely having opposing opinions.

Why do you think the whole Progressive movement has jumped on board so hard and heavy the last 8 years? Neither Clinton or Obama were on board in 2008. But now this issue can be used politically to not only silence opposing views but to proactively go after people who are their primary political enemy and opposition.... The Christians

Your religious hammer has been swung at many people for centuries were you worried about us than? are you worried about the religious persecution of us now?

i'm not saying two rights make a wrong, and i'm not saying we should do this in retaliation.. i'm just saying it hasn't infringed on any of your religious freedom

It's the same old "we're victims because we can't discriminate" rhetoric. I heard the same thing back in the '50s and '60s about Negros. White Christians were forced to go against their religion and serve Negroes at lunch counters and allow their children to attend the same schools and sit in the same classrooms, restrooms, lunchrooms, swimming pools! YIKES!

But, you know what, America got over it, at least most of us did.

Christians will get over this too They'll learn that having a catering position at a 5 star hotel will mean that they might have to polish silver and fold napkins for a gay wedding reception! OH THE HUMANITY!

Seems legit.....you sound just like your religious counterparts. Ideological and hateful.

i was just saying that people under the Bible have been using Hate speech on us for centuries...

As an atheist/agnostic; "do unto others....." is still legitimate reasoning aside from it's supposed religious roots.

Well, as long as it doesn't affect "YOU". Most agnostics/athiests I've known believe in a greater good. Incestuous relationships that produce offspring providing no benefit to society are deemed as pointless. Homosexuality is great for population control, but to support incestuous relations is counterproductive.

When brothers and sisters, fathers and daughters are protesting in the street for equal marriage rights, then we'll address it. Right now, it's nothing but hyperbole. It's a non-issue, just like people wanting to marry their pet goat or their car. It's not a pressing social issue.

When it is, have your peeps call my peeps!

so if it's the same argument are you proposing that interracial marriage opened the way for homosexual marriage?

Who cares though.. i mean Counterproductive to who? the population.. do you honestly believe that the entire population is going to be wiped away because homosexuals marry? or incestuous Marriage?

i'm anything but hateful, but if someone calls me a slur, or offends me, yes i will call them out on it. i don't start the attacking, and i don't finish it, but i will call anyone out on ignorance or Bigotry

Nonsense. Maybe this isn't an issue that you'll have to contemplate in your lifetime(and why you dismiss it), but it is the natural progression of the argument.

We should look at the future bifurcation of our decisions and not the satisfaction.

Apparently no one that adheres to an ideology. Why would they?

You are no different than your religious counterparts. You use the same methodology to defend your ideals as they do.

Why the vitriol?

What have I said or done to you as a fellow human being to be on the receiving end of such bitterness?

I see homosexuality and gay marriage the same as I see adultery, swinging, drunkenness, participating in group sex, prostitution, coveting your neighbors wife, worshiping another God, or any other sin that I didn't list. People do it everyday and that is the world.

(Before the "comparison" BS starts... Sin is Sin, "Don't do this is Don't do this" regardless of what "this" is.)

My religious and moral codes says "don't do these things period". Others have no religious belief and still teach their children to not do some or all of these things listed. Others encourage or participate in some or all of them themselves, Others have different religious beliefs that have similar "don't do these things" morals. Nothing more, nothing less.

You or anyone else may do as you wish but prosecuting or persecuting anyone teaching or discussing with others that in the Christian Religion, that "you shouldn't do these things" is unacceptable. Attempting to silence and force people with the hammer of law to accept, participate in, and or celebrate any of these listed behaviors as "right for everyone and enlightened" is wrong.

All this new-found "bigot" non-sense if others have a different lifestyle with a different set of moral codes than the new mainstream is insanity.

Teaching my children what is right and wrong is MY Responsibility and I do not want the State using the hammer of discrimination laws enforcing that I cannot tell my children to not do these actions as a Christian. Threatening legal or social action if I don't want to tell my kids that these actions are OK in complete opposition to our Religious beliefs is wrong.

As I said, people do all these things everyday. Accept that people will do these things but for followers of Christ, you don't do these things yourself.

Does that make sense?

Everyone may do as they please but don't force people to endorse, support, or say that things they believe to be morally unacceptable for themselves is somehow discrimination or bigotry.

Exactly, that argument was about skin colour, not marriage equality as this has been labelled. This has all been about the right to marry another person you love

I just can't wait for the influx of Gay Divorces.
Alimony, child support, shared ownership of material goods, etc...

I just feel sorry for the children of such 'parents', in such a situation.

I agree. What happens when gay couples divorce and the courts can no longer support the feminist agenda by giving primary care of the children to the females over 80% of the time?

Maybe it's a positive for single fathers who are stuck with payments of alimony, child support, and biased parenting schedules for their children.
