No this is not another ban thread . I'm wanting to take a break from that it is getting boring . I figured the title might grab some peoples attention though. Lol

I haven't seen a thread on these subgroups of country music or Rock n roll. I grew up with them and I enjoy not just the sound but the lyrics.

So if anybody else likes it let's hear the Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Hank Williams Junior, merle Haggard, George Jones, Charlie Daniels, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Molly hatchet, the Allman Brothers or any other outlaw country/ Southern rock musician that embraces these subgroup .

I guess I will start off with the biggest ahole of them all ? Country music feels the same way about this man as the republican party feels about Rand Paul . ( they hate him)

I leadoff with David Allan Coe ..........

My favorite by him at least the favorite that is within TC's .

I wish TC's would allow some of his raunchier music. Even though some of the lyrics are horrible and graphic some of them are funny .

Do you recognize my avatar ?

Indeed. DAC himself. I have his 'Underground Album' and 'Nothing Sacred'. Pretty raunchy stuff. I'm listening to a live album of his at Billy Bob's in Fort Worth from 2003. Pretty good.

What parts of KY are you from? My mother and her family are from Louisa, KY. I spent lots of time down there growing up. Good people.

That is the first time I've ever heard that song I love it !!!!!

How about ZZ Top I'll even give a factoid about this song .

This song is about a whorehouse. Many people in Texas knew about it, but when the song was released it drew so much attention to the illegal activities going on there that they had to cease operations. "The Chicken Ranch," or Miss Edna's Boarding house in La Grange was probably the oldest establishment in Texas catering the the oldest profession.

That was exactly what I was thinking of when I started this thread. I was hoping someone would knowledge on the subject like you would post .

In my opinion the greatest voice in all of music is Willie Nelson .

Another great song, I was expecting flirting with disaster for Molly hatchet .

It made me think of Little Feat.......
