I have never seen an animal in a zoo that looked anything close to happy.

I wouldn't personally say he's attractive to me, but I imagine he'd be quite the stud in the wild. But the expressions he gives shows just how intelligent or thoughtful they are then most people give them credit for. I find it very upsetting the way humans have treated such a closely related non-human being like this in the past.

Especially since the typical dismissive response to our brutality toward them is that it's somehow ok because humans are superior to the other primates. But to anyone who thinks that is how any superior being is supposed to treat his less superior family members, is actually proof that they are far less superior than they can ever imagine.

The gorilla does not do it for me.
