ATS PS4 Destiny players?

I asked S.O. if this was ok to post this thread and he gave me the go ahead.

All my friends either A) don't play Destiny, B) play on Xbox or PS3.

I d really like to play with some other people. I feel like I'm missing out on some fun having beaten the main campaign totally alone.

So my user name to s PuIpp, but since puLpp was taken that's a capitol i not a lowercase L.
I'm a level 23 Titan, I like long walks on the beach, sunsets, and slaying Vex and Fallen. Just looking for Mr. or Ms. right to annihilate the forces of evil in the Dark Below and House of Wolves. :

Playstation tag is sonjalovestyson all lower case, I am male, lots of friends thought I was a female, Sonja and tyson are and were my dogs, when I was creating my profile Tyson was still alive and Sonja just wouldn't leave him alone so thats where the name comes from, if your wondering.

I have all 3 characters, Warlock and Titan on 34 and hunter on 33 and a half.

I have a number of friend on PS network, don't know any of them personally, some are other ATSers others just sent after matchmaking strikes.

I always accept friend requests, tried sending one to another player only once, however it wasn't accepted so I never bother, I play mostly alone but do join here and there with some friends or they join my fire team, usually when I am doing a nightfall activity.

If you need a hand with anything just message me and if I am free I will join and help you out, however don't expect too much help if you want do a raid as I am still a raid virgin, I have dabbled a bit in Crotas end and Vault of glass but haven't finished them and don't really know my way around in the raids, however I always could ask another friend or two to join that have done them numerous times to lead us through, which is what I should have done by now but haven't.



I play most days, Im in Australia, however I play at odd hours so if you are overseas and play during the day I might be online as many times I play late at night or very early in the morning due to working nightshift.

If you are on level 23 I can help you out in doing strikes in the strike section to get some better gear from the vanaguard, the weeklies to get some coins and buy yourself some Armour from Xur and by no time you should get to level 32 and then we can do the harder stuff like nightfall and weekly heroic on lvl 32.

I am in the US but also play kind of weird hours. Thanks for the replies! I was away for the weekend so when I get home I'll add you two.
I haven't started House of Wolves or The Darkness Below yet. I wanted to beat the original story first. I just got both of the DLC right before I left. So, we can been noobs together!
I also play Evolve and Dying Light some times.

Tyson, he was the King.



He got to 66 kg which works out to be about 145 pounds.

He had issues with his knee and had operations, he was only 6 and half when he died back in 2012.

Sonja, she is 6 and half now, healthy, was a bit overweight but have her on a special diet now.

Tyson had twice the size over Sonja, but when Sonja came her bossy ways and feistyness took over.

Tyson used try and tell her of and be the boss, until she decided have her say



I remember the first time she stood up for herself and didnt let Tyson tell her off for being too playful she scarred the crap out of him, he hid in my sisters room for about hour and a half before he came out to see if she calmed down, ever since then while Tyson was around he would try and tell her but Sonja just wouldn't have any of it, she would allow him to growl at her all he wanted, when he got real cut with her and wanted to physically tell her(not fight just try to show dominance) she would take up a level and always show who the dominant one was.

I have a Hunter, but he's like level 9. It's painful to have to run through the story a third time.

The hunter is really not worth it in my opinion but I still had him leveled up for hoarding strange coins and other bounties.


I need to play it's been a week since my last run thru been addicted to ark survival evolved.

The only thing I think the hunter is good for is going invisible and blade dancer...Those blade dancers slay in PVP/Iron Banner. The going invisible has helped us out a bit in reviving fallen guardians in PoE and getting to the mines.

A friend of mine took a screenshot the other day after we beat the PoE on 32. We had two Titans throwing up bubbles back to back in a left-corner strategy. The orbs were just dropping like crazy. . .

No doubt some people absolutely rule with a hunter class but for me not so much I prefer Titan defender.

I have a lot of fun with my Titan. Despite his T-Rex arms, throwing up bubbles with Saint-14 is incredibly fun. You almost need a Titan for PoE runs at 32 or higher, two Titans even better.

It seems Warlocks are dominating Crucible and Iron Banner.

I can't compete in PVP against guys who's entire lives seem dedicated to online multiplayer. I'm usually dead within 20 seconds and left wondering how in the heck I died so fast.

Well, considering Iron Banner is one of the only ways to get Etheric Light -- I'll be trying to get to rank 3 this go-around. That's 60-70 matches, and 11-14 hours of game play. The drop rate for Etheric Light in the Nightfalls is really, really low. I've yet to see anyone get one.

I've done PoE on 34 twice, and for the weapon core and etheric light it's a lot of work. I also hate how there's no matchmaking and I have to find someone to play with. I'm not a very sociable online person, as I don't like chatting with random strangers via a mic.

This in my opinion is the biggest problem with the game.

I'm also anti social on games and even when I do join in with strangers most don't understand the role of defender, if I'm on the one side of the map drawing attention don't come help me attack them from behind ffs

Hey Got all 6 etheric lights with my 3 charaters last time,

I started the banner on the Wednesday and finally finished level 5ing all 3 by the sunday.

Best way was using lower level items and having your guardian on Lvl 30 so its not too low so you get more XP when you get wins. However the lower your level the higher the XP you receive.

First night fall when Wolves came out I got a etheric light, since then stupid legendary weapons and lucky me yesterday soloing the moon nightfall got absolutely nothing other than the buff of extra XP which also comes in handy for the banner.

I will try getting all 3 characters again to level 5, need those etheric lights.

Now I only need non exotic primary like a raid weapon I can level up after I get more E. light.

It's sad that you can buy exotic shards from Xur, or get a crap exotic like NLB and shard it out and upgrade your exotics easier than legendary stuff.

They've made getting etheric light way, way to hard. In the past, you'd get radiant shards/energy from the raids and be able to upgrade your gear there. Even if you didn't get armor or weapon drops, you still got shards/energy. We'd often times to Crota checkpoints just for that.

Also, Varik's weapons from the weapon cores suck. They're non-elemental and not re-rollable. The Queens pink weapons are better! I guess if you beat Skolas on 35 you can get elemental weapons.

Bungie is making a lot of mistakes lately with Destiny. We don't have 7-11 here, so I can't get the XP codes.

They need optional matchmaking for 32 POE and Nightfalls. When I'm paying $60 for a base game, and another $40 for the first two expansions -- I ought to be able to play it without having to go to a 3rd party website. I can't get the XP buff or chance at etheric light/weapons from a Nightfall unless one of my 3 friends is online playing, and then they've usually already done it without me. I maybe do 1 in 4 nightfalls because of this. The same with PoE. I'm "lucky" to do anything over 28.

So I'm basically stuck doing PoE 28's and Dragon 28 strikes because I don't have an extensive friends list. I'll never see the lighthouse or get the cool Trials gear. I'm paying for stuff I'll never see/get to play.

My sollution is have an "armory" playlist for PvE and PvP. You get a basic character and so much "currency" to spend outfitting him with anything from Destiny's inventory. You earn more of this currency from wins in PvP matches or PvE mission successes. You don't get to keep anything after the mission or mach is over, but it lets you play around with the gear so you can at least get a taste of what it can do. It might motivate you to actually FINISH that Thorn or Bad JuJu bounty.

After a few hours yesterday, I think that might have been only a bonus that bungie added during the first IB, 1st one when Wolves came out I mean.

I had my hunter on 31 and 33 and a half and got the same XP for a win, so I think it was simply a bonus on the previous one to allow players to level up quicker.

I just never get put on a team that wins for IB.

I went through about 12 or 15 matches yesterday without win might have been more.

Previous IB, when I had 5 or more losses and got the coins you get so for your next win you get extra XP I was getting over 400XP for a win after having 5 losses, yesterday with a lower level I only got just over 300XP with the 5 losses prior (or in my case 15 losses).

So if you are trying it, I wouldn't bother, Just make sure you have iron banner gear, 1 piece of armor, Iron banner shader, and the Iron banner thingy where you name is displayed and you get a little extra XP for wins, it helps having finished a nightfall and don't forget the IB buff.

Still its taking me ages even to get level 3 rank, with just one character, I doubt I will pull off what I did the last banner with all 3 characters.

I hear what your saying with the matchmaking,

I suspect it might be an option when or soon after Taken king is released.

Too many players asking for it, matchmaking where there isn't, hopefully Bungie will listen.

I have been soloing the nightfalls I can, the moon one thats available now is doable, Venus, not nexus but the other is probably the easiest, and also the earth strike, not Omnigul the 1st one, there is a real cheese spot if you can make it all the way to the end and you don't get touched by any enemies, but you do need a sniper with armor piercing rounds. The mars one from last week is also doable solo, get o the end and hide under the steps to the left where the boss comes out and just takes shots when you get the chance.

They all just take time and patience when trying to solo a nightfall.

Although I am happy when a friend joins, it just makes it a little easier even though I die more often when playing a fire team, I guess soloing or at least trying to solo a nightfall really makes me cautious, the Venus one takes me just under and hour, The moon one the other day with no rewards (stupid rewards system) took me about 35 minutes.

Mars takes about the same, so with patience they are doable on your own.

I did the one the other day with my gunslinger Hunter on 33 and a half. Solar burn so I used gunslinger, Killed most of the enemies using Icebreaker and solar machine gun until the end when I used a few rockets and Icebreaker to kill the troll.

PS tag is Enlil2215 and right now i have a hunter in the high 20's (i believe level 28 but not sure). I like playing and my boyfriend plays every now and then. Would be cool making new characters and running storyline over together if you wanted

Well I finally got my Thorn. That crucible part of the bounty suuuuuucked. I don't know who hated it more, me or my girl. I haven't shouted at my TV so much before.

I played so much Destiny this weekend that when I close my eyes I see myself running around maps and in hallways. I managed to get my new Purifier robes maxed out, get Thorn, do a 32 and 34 PoE and a Crota on NM.

I hate getting shot in the crucible when there is no line of sight, I am behind a corner yet a bullet finds me.

Its happened numerous times, there is line of sight, I get shot and move to cover behind a corner, a second or 2 after I get shot and it shows you who killed you, yet they are not in line of sight,

Could it be lag?

It would have to be, otherwise the game cheats or Armour piercing round can pierce walls.

Although I have had a hand full, a small hand full of kills where the player got out of sight yet my shots went through the wall or around the corner it seemed,

Its just frustrating when it happens to you over and over, yes the TV gets verbally abused quite often when that starts to happen.

I worked out what it is the Iron Banner, concerning XP towards your IB ranking

At the start of the week, even with all the buffs, you get only a little extra,

However as the Banner gets closer to finishing you get heaps more extra if you have buffs such as IB gear, nightfall buff and buff you can buy of Saladin.

Doing it on the Sunday or Monday just before the IB finishes and I leveled up to rank 5 in about 3 hours with my Titan, only a 2 or 3 wins after having a few loses and gaining the coins and you level up easy, add the bounties and its quite quick compared to the start of the week, where I at least did 4 -5 of the 6 each day, had all the buffs but took ages.

It took me 4 days from the Tuesday to the Friday to do that with My hunter playing at least 3 hours a day.

So its best to play later on in the banner as the buffs give you much more bonus XP towards your IB ranking.

+ it doesn't matter what level, all mine were on 34 or 33 and a half and it was on the weekend when it got easier gaining rank due to the bonuses being better as the banner got closer to finishing.

the buff you get from Saladin says something to that effect, I just didn't realize what it actually meant until now.

some weekends I am playing for more than 8 hours in a single sitting,

Go to bed and have exactly the same feelings or visualizations.

That's probably why I took it easy this week and only have played a couple hours instead of a couple days in a weeks period.

Oh man, I feel bad ... you just discovered the IB grants more points later in the week?!



I still haven't run trials yet...I'm simply not good enough yet in crucible. My K/D ranges wildly from .4 to 1.1 -- I don't think that'll cut it in the Trials of Osiris.

I'm considering going to one of the sherpa groups that'll help/teach you through the Trials. I know my two friends that I play with (who are better) are going to do Trials at some point without me, so I might as well try to do them with other people. I have crap-ton of tokens for trials now just taking up space. You can get rid of them, but they don't get you anything.

It's weekly reset guys! No burns this week!

Notable:

-Warlock gloves from Variks are straight discipline!

-Variks has sniper rifle for weapon core! This sniper has the 2nd highest impact of all legendary sniper rifles

Errrm...there's probably more, but those seemed important to me.

Remember, do your Nightfalls SOON to maximize that XP buff! I want to try one tonight, but I may not have the time...
